I read reviews for a couple of hours trying to compare body types and experiences so I could get a life jacket online without having to return it for another size. I'm 5'4, 130 lbs, short torso and very small chest. I got the medium size and it fit like a glove. The small would not have fit without discomfort. I immediately went to the water and played with my dog to test it. (I got her a dog life vest) I didn't even notice the jacket was on, it doesn't float up on your neck and annoy you. Definitely follow the sizing chart...you'll be told you need a larger size than you might be used to wearing, but the sizing chart is really accurate. Fabric is comfortable, and arm openings are ample. Really happy with the quality!!

Runs small. I measured myself before ordering, to get the proper fit. It states a chest up to 40” would be a medium size. The Med was too tight. I’m shipping the Medium back. When I ordered, I bought a Med and a Lg. Still waiting on the large to arrive. Hope that size works. I’d say if your chest measurement is 36” or less, the Medium would fit. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to breathe in this thing based off some dramatic reviews, but I wish I bought a size small like the size chart suggested (my chest measurement is 34”, B cup and I’m 5’1 & 115lbs, with broad shoulders, 25” waist). I’m returning the medium for a small, which I think will be perfect for me! It was snug, but not enough- I could semi-easily pull the shoulders up by my neck while it was fully zipped and buckled tight & I’m sure in water it would have been worse. It feels and looks like it’s EXTREMELY high quality so I’m 100% pleased with the heftier price I’m paying. The Zebra stripes are so cute and subtle too!! I love this life jacket. The colors are great and it’s a comfortable fit. I’m 5’6”, 196# and the XL fits perfectly. I mainly use this for kayaking and I love that it stays put. My old PFD rode up and by the end of the day my chin would be tender from the chafing.
