  • It works so far.
It's small and it works. I have no idea about it's power efficiency or anything like that. It came with cables.

  • Compact SFX PSU that actually delivers full-size performance Compact SFX PSU that actually delivers full-size performance
I picked up the NZXT C850 SFX Gold for a small form factor build, and it’s been exactly what I was hoping for. Finding a power supply that can handle modern GPUs without compromising on size or stability isn’t easy, but this one checks the important boxes. The SFX footprint makes it much easier to work inside tighter cases, and the shorter cable runs help keep things manageable when space is limited. Performance-wise, it’s been solid. Voltage delivery has been stable under load, and I haven’t noticed any odd behavior during startup or heavy GPU usage. The inclusion of the 12V-2x6 connector is a big plus for newer cards, and it’s reassuring to have a unit that’s built around current standards rather than feeling like an afterthought adaptation. The zero RPM fan mode works well too. Under lighter workloads, the system stays quiet, and even when the fan does spin up, it’s not intrusive. Cable quality is better than average for this category. The fully modular setup helps a lot in small builds, and the included combs make routing cleaner than expected. That said, as others have pointed out, SFX builds are still inherently tight, so you’ll want to plan your cable routing ahead of time. It’s not difficult, just something to be aware of if you’re new to compact builds. At $199.99, it’s definitely not a budget option, but that’s pretty typical for high-quality SFX units with this level of output and efficiency. You’re paying for reliability, modern GPU support, and a compact design that doesn’t cut corners where it matters. For a high-performance SFF build, it feels like money well spent. ... show more

  • Rock Solid Power, Clean Rails & Quiet Cooling, Handles Dual GPUs Like a Champ: Excellent Stability
I really like the NZXT brand, and this power supply is no exception. The build quality is exactly what you'd expect from a premium unit. It has very clean voltage rails—the 12V, 5V, and 3.3V outputs are spot on with zero ripple issues noticed during testing. I know this configuration puts a massive power demand on the PSU. I am currently running an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, a high-end graphics cards 5070, 256GB of RAM, and 8 NVMe drives in total. That is a lot of load, but I have been testing it under stress, and the unit is incredibly strong. It stays very stable even when everything is maxed out. Even under this heavy stress, the PSU stays cool. The heat sink and fan manage thermal dissipation well. If you are running in a small form factor case, the SFX form factor ensures excellent air circulation without needing bulky cooling solutions. This is an amazing piece of hardware for anyone looking to squeeze maximum performance out of a high-end system without worrying about stability or voltage fluctuations. Whether you are building a gaming beast or a heavy workstation, I highly recommend this PSU. It performs flawlessly and keeps the whole system running smoothly! ... show more

  • Good cables!
So far so good! only just built with it but I really appreciated the cable flexibility and quality. My only complaint is I had to cut off one of the cable combs as they aren't removable to make it fit in my ITX case.

  • So nice I bought a 2nd
I really like this power supply. It is incredibly tiny and still performs quietly. I ended up buying a second one for another build, but the second one was missing a couple cable. I tried reaching out to NZXT and the AI chat bot created a ticket but it's been over a week and I haven't heard anything so I just returned the second one. It's a real shame because it definitely seems like there are some quality control issues with making sure all of the cables are in the box. The price listed for this though is extremely high. There are better and more powerful PSUs available for much lower price points. This PSU is an SFF psu though, which does tend to be more expensive than full size power supplies. All of the cables are really high quality and include cable management combs already attached. I have a few other NZXT products that I have never needed to contact support for, so my first experience contacting support has not been a very good one in regards to the missing cable. ... show more

  • Excellent PSU from NZXT Excellent PSU from NZXT
So while this is "GOLD" Rated, it has been reviewed and tested by Cybenetics as Platinum and I verified this on their site. A+ Noise levels appear to be true. Looks very nice, very clean build. This is an excellent little SFF PSU, 850w is quite enough for all but the highest end hardware. This has native support for 12v 2x6 and even includes two on the PSU! All cables have a debossed texture which helps a little with wire flexibility. They all feel very high quality. They include cable combs as well, which can be removed if you just want the space... sometimes its easier to organize cables when you can bunch them neatly. The only con so far is that the cables are maybe a little too long for some smaller ITX builds.. like anything 15L and under, they might be a little harder to handle. The Corsair SFF cables are much more suited for smaller builds like this. For point of reference I have this in my portable ITX build which is an Intel Core 225 and ASUS 5070 OC. This PSU runs this setup flawlessly! I have not heard or can hear the complaints with the noise levels... its been dead silent in my build. I currently have my ITX build in the NZXT H2 and its a perfect fit for this PSU (of course it would be!), it just has enough cable length for proper cable management and it just looks good as the finish of the PSU perfectly matches the case! ... show more

  • Good quality PSU, a touch on the pricey side.
The cables come in a nice canvas bag that could also be used for storage of unused cables. Cables are braided nylon and sleeved, gives a clean look that also will help protect them against rubbing. They're a bit on the short side at right around 2 feet, but worked fine for my mini case. I wished they could have been a little longer for flexibility in cable management. The PSU itself is pretty minimal as far as aesthetics, just a black box. I like the modularity, my first fully modular power supply. I ended up using only the 24 pin main Motherboard cable, an 8 pin CPU cable, and dual 8 pin cable for my AMD RX 6800 XT. Having it modular really helps in an already tight case. The small fan gets a little noisy when pushing the PC, but nothing annoying, just the sound of rushing air, some of that is probably from the CPU fan. It is almost silent when the PC isn't being stressed. I guess that's just the drawback with going with a compact form factor PC. SFX stuff just seems to be more expensive than regular full size PSU for whatever reason, and some of that markup is probably the NZXT name. Hopefully this last for a long time, but it does come with a 10 yr warranty for a little peace of mind, from a brand that's been on the market for over 20 yrs. ... show more
