So after a trip to Europe this is how my bags came out. Regardless of how baggage is handled (and we all know that it can be rough) the luggage is too expensive to be cheap. They are perfect if you don't travel a ton and want to stand out. Absolutely loved the look of the set and they are just super original and cute so I wasn't thrilled that the large suitcase was torn with a metal screw coming out the side. They came in perfect condition! There is a note with instructions on how to reset the combination which was a relief to find, I felt like I was looking for 15 minutes for one online and in packaging, but I can confirm it does exist! I get to use them for travel in February so I donโ€™t know how durable they are yet, but upon arrival I couldnโ€™t have been happier with them!!! I love the vintage look! People asked where we got it when my partner and I went to Mexico. I thought it was so cute that my partner got a blue set as well. They both come with protective plastic. We went from CA > Mexico > TX > CA and on the first two flights everything went smoothly. Luggage came back great! On the last leg of our trip, our blue luggage was dented in and the wheel broke off due to gross mishandling of our luggage being tossed into the air and fumbling down onto the belt by the third airline. Luckily, we pushed the dent back out and it was like new, and the customer service from the supplier was very friendly and sent us a new set of wheels. ๐Ÿ˜ These bags aren't flimsy or cheap; it was the airline's fault. For close to $400 for the set, maybe I expected more. This is not a hard luggage case like they used to make, you can see I can easily bend the side of the case with my thumb. The details in the zipper is just pretty bad and overall the construction is cheap. If returning wasn't such a hassle I would never buy this in store. Feels flimsy like it would be easily crushed by another bag. The wheels came pre-used, too as a bonus. I regret my purchase and wish I just bought something from Samsonite or something instead. Maybe for a photo shoot or something it could be cute. I don't mean to absolutely dump on it, but that's my honest feedback, hope it helps someone. Update: I took this suitcase package on an actual trip was and pleasantly surprised by how nicely the wheels rolled and how everything went. I have updated my rating from 2/5 to 4/5. **UPDATE** I spoke with the company and they were very helpful and accommodating, great owners and very respectful! Bought this as a gift for my mom who wanted new luggage for her birthday. After about 5-6 months the leather started ripping and tearing, now at 9 months the large suitcase is completely falling apart and unable to be used. ... show more

While I only got a couple compliments on a recent trip, I can attest what almost EVERYONE here is wondering. I caught TONS of eyes darting to this luggage, and you will absolutely be noticed!! Aside from that, I can assure you it's well made and the big trunk will stand up to the 50lb weight limit. Don't listen to the naysayers! The shell is plastic covered in vinyl or PU leather, while the fittings & straps seem to be real leather. The only criticism I have is that I wish it came with touch up finish for the occasional light scuffs. But these are absolutely as strong as any typical luggage. I bought an extra plastic sleeve for the big one (generic) in case the original gets discarded by TSA for some reason. You will want to protect these things. The locks work really well too.
