Definitely not water proof because it is so easy to remove. And the applicator is so sensitive so it moves really easily so make sure when you apply it you have a steady hand because it’s also so small. For looks it’s amazing. I recommend if you want eye liner that’s easy to remove.

Just got it so these are my first impressions, if I change my mind on anything I'll update. Was looking for a new liquid liner that 1. was a brush kind not a pen 2. didnt smudge onto crease while drying easily 3. was cheap but also rlly good for the price I ended up deciding to get one from NYX bc I love their products most of the time. I choose this in vinyl over matte bc I like the look of these kind of finishes. This eyeliner has an EXTREMELY good formula, like for the price you cannot beat it or match it. Its not a waterproof eyeliner but it's not meant to be. Its extremely long wear. It can smudge with water but besides that it doesnt smudge much at all & when it does it easily fades away instead of being a huge black smudge (like the mascara I'm wearing in the photos does). its SUPER EASY to apply!! the brush is even thinner than expected and I'm not a person with good handwriting/ good hand eye coordination. Straight lines are hard. Eyeliner can easily go tragic for me. So I know the eyeliner in the photos isnt perfect- but I did it really fast and it's pretty good for my abilities lol. My ONLY issue with this eyeliner is the brush looks VERY easy to get the bristles messed up. & one little one already is. I think this can be fixed but its messy process. Besides that 0 complaints . 100% worth it and more.

OVERALL: Definitely worth the price for what you're getting. PROS: - Inexpensive - long thin brush for more precise application - *After* it dries it last a LONG time - *After* it dries it's won't smudge - Doesn't crumble and flake on creasy eyelids - Water *resistant* it won't run but if it gets wet, it'll smudge if you touch it. CONS: - The shine/matte black look is not consistent. It doesn't know what it wants to be. - Taking it off can irritate your skin from the constant friction of rubbing. There's a learning curve on this and I've found that water based cleansers like micellar water applied lightly with a q-tip works best. - It will smudge and spread when you try to to remove it with normal makeup remover.

I have been using NYX Vinyl eyeliner for several years now and haven't found a product that has the same staying power as it does. It's got a nice subtle shine to it after it dries and applies very smoothly. My one sticking point is that it is only removed easily with makeup remover, so if you wash off makeup with face wash (like I generally do), then buy some eye makeup remover for it. Otherwise, this eyeliner is aces. I'd go out to a party and wake up the next day after falling asleep with it on and it'd still look great (in spite of the mascara crumbles and smudged eyeshadow).

This eyeliner has been infalliable these past few months but today, it all changed. I spent about an hour crying over Eric Carle's death, fraternal twins, and a premonition; the entire time I spent rubbing on my eyes and wiping away tears, not a single inkling fell off as a tear. It was too much to handle but my eyeliner carried through. I expected so many black streaks and a partially-dyed eyeball but I was pleasantly surprised by the time I was done with my fit. I can never switch back over tbh! My only gripe with this liner is that the tip is a bit too thick so I usually end up having to use a q tip to fix it or starting from the inner corner of my eye.

It's good if you're not looking to go out in it. Its good for photos, videos, tiktoks, whatever social media stuff, but its looks crusty in person and makes your skin look dead. It lasts long and is pretty decently smudge-proof though.
