I have salt and pepper grey hair. When I stopped coloring my hair, which was naturally auburn with red highlights, I could not find a good shade for my eyebrows. A friend who had a similar problem, suggested taupe. She purchases her brow powder pencils from an upscale brand. I didn't want to experiment with a brand that costs over $20 for a pencil just to be able to purchase taupe, which is not common in most lower priced brands. I found taupe in NYX Brand at Target, for about $7. When I found that the shade suited my hair and complexion, and went back to purchase more, the color in that brand, at that store, was no longer available. I was a little downhearted until I thought of Amazon! Yay! I ordered three pencils, for even less than I paid at Target. I know that this all makes little sense, and sounds awfully vain to get worked up over brow color. But for a long while, my brow color was too light or too dark. This is the best I have ever used. I am light blonde and have never found a brow pencil that does not have gold or ash in the color. This is not a review that I received it and used once. I have been using for a month everyday. I have not found a pencil that glides on as this is a powder formula. So easy to get the right shape. I am 64 and finally found one that I can honestly say….is the one. Liked it so much and the price is great, that after a few weeks of using I stocked up to assure if they stop selling I have plenty. ... show more

I like this pencil very much for the following reasons: It is not waxy; the color is good (hair silver-white, fair skin, needed something light to fill in darker eyebrows that are an ashy color; nice applicator with brush; great price. I've been searching for something light but not waxy. I had been using Lancome for years despite the high price because Lancome made a powder pencil (not waxy crayon), and it was the best I could find (natural blonde was the color best for me, although I used taupe also), but I believe it is overpriced, and the product does not last long. It must be sharpened often, and more often than not, the tip breaks when sharpening. I finally got a Lancome sharpener which helped quite a bit, but still, I dreaded every time I sharpened it because of breakage. I think the breakage is promoted by the clear plastic enveloped around the colored part of the pencil. It seems to catch in the sharpener, breaking the pencil tip at the wood. Argh! I recently had a problem with a pencil and sent Lancome 3 separate emails about it. They never answered me. Sooooo, I set out to find something else. I have other NYX products, so I was so pleased to see that NYX makes a powder-type pencil. I bought one and used it, liked the color, the application, the resiliency of the product, so today I bought another. Thank you NYX for a great product at a great price! ... show more

I have used many different brands of eyebrow pencils looking for one that would work for me. They were either too red or too difficult to apply. I need not look any further! This is the best eyebrow pencil that I've ever used. The color is a true soft brown and the ash is also excellent-no red in them! The other thing that I really love is how easy they are to apply. Because of the powder in the product it goes on so smoothly without having to keep going over and over the brow to fill in. My eyebrows are sparse to this is truly a keeper. The pencil stays on all day and then washes off easily with soap and water. If I could give it ten stars I would! Love it! ... show more

Well this is one and I don’t have a very good review on. Not because of the product but because of the delivery. It was supposed to come last night, it is in transit somewhere I’m not even really too sure. Not complaining I still have a full 24 hours until I can come back to the Amazon website and they were 100% either refund my money, or they will resend the exact same product. At the same price nothing changes. Hopefully I’ll be able to maybe get in at 10% off of Another product due to the inconvenience of time.
