Hands down, my current favorite foundation. It's a little pricey for a "drugstore" brand, but, honestly, I have rosacea and all sorts of weird coloring on my face these days, and this stuff works wonders. I use NYX Honey Dew Me Up primer under it (after a light moisturizer) and it's a great combo for me. I do have pretty dry skin, so I go easy on setting powder, but even with powder, that combo seems to prevent my skin from drying out. It will rub off eventually, but not nearly as easily as any of the other (many, many, MANY) kinds I've tried, and it keeps my rosacea covered until I take it off. I use a damp beauty blender sponge to blend it after I've used my fingers to apply it to the places that need the most coverage. I usually need about five small squirts, but it's heavy duty and covers rosacea without concealer so I'm not complaining at all. I've included pictures with and without makeup for reference.

First off, if you have dry skin*, you should NOT be purchasing a “Matte” foundation whatsoever as these will always be more drying than any other formula. I have normal-to-oily skin, so this formula wears very well on my skin. This foundation feels super light weight and looks very natural when applied correctly to clean, moisturized skin (the key is minimal product in T-zone). It blends to perfection whether you use a damp makeup sponge or foundation brush. This particular formula also has a wonderful shade range and I was easily able to find a shade that matched my yellow undertones precisely (shade Warm Vanilla). My skin becomes more and more oily throughout the day, so this foundation does begin to transfer for me after about 5 hours of wear. However, this isn’t a big deal for me, as I can easily apply a little more foundation or powder if I need a longer wear, without worrying about a heavy thickness. I am giving this foundation 4 stars because the initial application is not “Full Coverage” as advertised. However, this foundation does build beautifully and can become full coverage after an additional layer. Overall, I am very happy with this affordable foundation and have repurchased it 3 times now. I do my makeup almost every day and each component has lasted me about 6 mos. *For more dry-leaning skin, I would recommend Rimmel’s Lasting Finish 25Hr Breathable Long Wear Foundation (wow that’s a mouthful). Always had a hard time finding a decent affordable foundation that matches my skin tone, but I’m not gonna lie this one doesn’t match to absolute perfection, however it is the only brand in this price range that even comes close. I tried a shade darker and a shade lighter in the brand just to be sure this one was the closest. Love the coverage and it’s definitely light weight. Used to buy at Walmart and it’s no longer available so I knew exactly which shade to get beforehand, but I don’t think I would’ve purchased this product “blind”

This color (Classic Tan) was a perfect match for me, I have pink/red undertones. I also have oily skin and it did great with controlling oil and it didn’t dry my skin out. It was easy to apply and I only needed one small pump for my whole face a little goes a long way!!

I am one of the palest of the pales so it makes finding foundation that’s light enough and budget friendly very difficult. I love this foundation so much! It matches perfectly and it medium to full coverage. Definitely recommend

I got a foundation sampler from Sephora and have been test driving foundations looking for the right color and a good formula. I have combo skin and I'm in my early 40's. I need something with full coverage and can conquer oil. After moisturizing, I applied this formula both with and without primer and had pleasant results all around. This is a great consistency, the pump doles out a faceful, and I applied it with a short kabuki brush. At first I was not impressed but I let it set for a few minutes and wow. Pretty much the dream product that I was looking for. I powdered and then applied concealer under my eyes, around my nose and over blemishes. This produced a flawless surface and a lovely base for contouring, and eye and lip makeup. I'd compare it to the formula in Too Faced Born this Way Foundation, except it was a better fit. I expected, after reading the other reviews, that the formula would feel thick and lock in place. I did not feel thick and was more malleable than a locked in formula. I had been using Tarte's Amazonian Clay Foundation and Can't Stop Won't Stop beats Tarte all day long. Better coverage, much better staying power and a real skin finish. I am wildly surprised and will keep this product in my rotation. Love NYX!

I've always struggled finding a shade match and I've tried probably 15-20 makeup brands. I wear makeup 5-6 days a week so I need something good. I'm pretty pale with a neutral undertone, but I also have redness and acne I want to cover. Most of the time the pale shades don't cover what I need covered and I have to use a darker shade. This is the first foundation I've found that not only doesn't make me look orange, but it provides 90% coverage for my redness and acne. I still use a concealer on top when I need to, but it's such a good coverage for how light the shade is and how well it matches my skin. It's also a true matte, and doesn't leave me shiny at all! I hate being shiny! For shade reference, I'm between "classic ivory" and "buff beige" in Covergirl (buff for covering redness) and a a 1N in Dior, which I used before I found this!
