Description

The VAD Series of amplifiers are available in a number of different sizes and meant for a number of different applications. The VADM line is incredibly compact and can be placed nearly anywhere in your vehicle. The larger VAD amps are more powerful and they have RMS power rating all the way up to 2700 Watts RMS for the most powerful of subwoofers. If you're looking for big power, the VAD171001 is the amplifier for you. Delivering up to 1700W of true RMS power to one channel, you should have no problem powering a very powerful subwoofer.

So far so good! This amplifier powers a 12" Subwoofer on my boat and I had to scale down the power because it was drowning my mids and highs. Pushing 800W RMS @4 OHMS it delivers clean deep bass! I've had the smaller NVX running my mids for 4 years and it's still working in saltwater environment.

Very surprised for the size, and the cost, its pushing 2 nvx 8in dual 2ohm 650rms in the skar under seat box for a 2013 ford f150 crew, and its slams. The bass is low and flexing windows and clean. Been running hard now for almost a year.

Nvx is a great quality product for the price, the sound quality of this amplifier is great! It's power holds up well as well it does get a little warm but nothing I was concerned about if you trying to decide on which amplifier to get nvx amps are great especially for the price!

Replaced my Vad17001 original with the Version 2 and it is nowhere near the quality of version 1 and sounds so much worse. It feels like this was made with cheaper components. The fan does not work either. The gain feels finiky as when all the way down it seems the same as halfway. Also the crossover at 50hz still lets in some voice from the subs and sounds the same as say 200hz. I have to use the crossover on my pioneer head unit to fix this. I wish I could return this but I just had this installed and today and the return window ended yesterday. ... show more

Full disclosure, I like NVX products. With that said, I've used a few of their subs and amps. My current setup is 2 NVX VCW 8's and I got this amp to replace the NVX NDA15001, which replaced a VAD10001. I like those other 2 amps as well, but I have limited places to mount an amp in my truck and both of those have gone into protection due to heat on occasion. This amp has a cooling fan which was a selling point for me. So far, at 1ohm, it has only gotten warm but it also was a huge improvement with the sound adding the extra watts. Can't beat the price for the performance, which is true for most of the NVX products I've tried. ... show more

Just installed and WOW! Replaced an old school Alpine MRV-T757 V12 that got wet and died. Used it to push a single JL Audio 13TW5v2-2. This NVX 17001 brought my sub to new levels. Serious knock. Crazy boom. Insane bass from a single sub. I"ll update if anything changes but so far so good.
