GPU arrived safe & sound, the packaging was very well done, had multiple layers of bubble wrap. The GPU is very good for the money, i needed some performance with Video/Music editing to crunch some files together, with a side of gaming at times. I had considered the GTX 1080 TI, but the Titan V's CUDA core count really does help in my case at a whopping 5120, compiled with the GPU memory type is HBM2, very good if I need a lot of data to compile while multitasking with other files. The GPU casing is GOLD in color, kind of tacky but still cool with Nvidia's late 2018 Founders edition casing. (Similar to the Pascal GPU cases, except they are silver/black in color) As I'm quite aware, the cooling for the Volta/Pascal GPU's is something to be desired, unless you modify the GPU casing to accept a water cooler block you can crank up the Core clock/Core memory up the wazoo near 2 gigahertz. This GPU IS HOT, Performance is very good, just don't let the GPU get too hot or it will throttle back the overclocking, (89c* is the throttling range, so do try to keep the temps in check) The GPU is also equipped with 640 Tensor cores if you need AI to be used in machine learning, this is the GPU to use. The Titan V has 12 gigabytes of VRAM, with HBM2 memory type (high bandwidth memory) this is nothing to scoff at, some modern Nvidia GPU's have resorted to using 8 gigabytes on some of their GPU models, with ridiculous prices, Note: Do keep in mind The Volta architecture of this GPU is no longer receiving driver updates, as of recently, only security updates, this will not be a problem for me, (Not yet anyway) Still a great workstation GPU and can be used in gaming (Cyberpunk 2077 at the time was showing 90FPS on medium preset with 2560x1440 monitor) You're mileage may vary... Had recently taken out my GPU's from storage to take a Picture, the legendary GPU's from late 2017-2018 GTX 1070, GTX 1080 Ti, Titan V (Forgot Titan XP, woops) ... show more

    • Powerful card but overpriced
When the Volta series GPU came out they tripled the price of the Titan. This put's it out of the rage for gamer's. It is still much cheaper than a Quadro and a Tesla card. This is thus intended for developer interested in training large deep neural nets (DNN's) on a budget. Found I could buy 2 for the price of one Tesla and figured that was probably a better deal. Haven't gotten around to training any large neural nets yet, but I have tested it with with small ones the performance seems good. Also tested it with a game (Thalos Principle) on a 4K 35" monitor and and the performance is great. Card is Hot. Runs at 85 degrees. I put on a custom water cooled copper block from AlfaCool. Not for the faint of heart. Lot of strange screws and nuts in strange dimensions, like a 4 mm double square nuts. Otherwise straight forward. That had a dramatic effect on the operating temperature and bought me some peace of mind. DNNs have to run at high loads for extended durations.. ... show more
