This is a very lovely yoga mat! I use mine at yoga class and other exercise classes that have us on the floor for stretch or weights or something. It seems to be the same length as my other yoga mats. It is definitely thicker than they are. The suede surface is not at all plastic-y so gripping seems to be slightly compromised. Slightly, because I have not slipped yet, and maybe wouldn’t, but I’m always trying to be careful during any workout. It is significantly WIDER than my other mats! I like that! And it always gets comments about how extremely lovely it is.

So far this has held up to 2 cats that love to ruin everything I own. Perfect thickness (I am very skinny and boney) so it doesnt hurt my spine. Can be slick before you start to sweat though. The 1st couple downward dogs my hands slip a little but once I warm up my hands stick better. Only downside I've found is that it gets dirty... and I don't know how to clean it . Great for yoga or just stretching or doing workouts at home. Big enough for everyone really. Too large to carry around or take to yoga class though.

I unrolled this and the photo did not disappoint. Beautiful. Just a heads up. This is a very LARGE mat. It is great for a larger person. Length and width are substantial, so you don’t feel like you are falling off or don’t have enough stretching space. There is plenty of both! It has a nice thickness to it. Be careful you don’t take a nap. Lol

I loved the design and size but the surface is not stable when doing yoga or exercising because the material facilitates the feet to slip and slide. Very disappointing.

This is a beautiful, soft, thick yoga mat. I have had many compliments on it. I love it sometimes. But I have told my cohorts in my yoga practices that it is the Slippery Suede Yoga Mat of Death. That if I go down on my face and break my neck, this is why. I have to be very careful on transitions or my hands or feet slide like they are on ice. I suppose it is non-slip for people who have sweaty hands and feet, those who go to hot yoga. If your hands do not sweat as a rule, be careful, rethink this option. Maybe I should spritz it with water before every class, I dunno. I have to step off for balancing poses. Too thick, ankles wobble. You also cannot wipe it down with a disinfecting wipe, so I fold it in half and then roll it - to the extent that it will roll. So it will not fit into the bag. But this way I am not rolling the dirt and germs of the floor onto the suede. Weird how I always, always see people wipe the front of their mats and then roll them up....do they not realize they just rolled the 'floor' onto the wiped side??

This is a wonderful quality 8mm thick mat. Just what i need to continue my Yoga practice but not put as much strain on my injured knees. My one issue is that the mat was pictured as a black background but the mat I received is a dark navy blue. Not a big problem except when you want all your yoga items ( blocks, strap) to match and the colors are way off. So I have removed one star for miss advertisement of color.
