Shorter than anticipated but is actually perfect. It's comfortable: soft but firm and with the correct angle for back support. I think rocker comfort really depends on personal build. For reference I am 5'4" and 135 lb postpartum. My 6'1" lean husband finds it comfortable too. Assembly took about 10-15 minutes. Very nice chair for the price! Easy to put together, and very nice appearance. I was looking for a chair that was soft, but the color of cognac, and this brown is a perfect match! It is a solid piece. Instructions were easy to follow and it was simple enough that my kids helped me put it together. The arm rests are fairly low, so not super functional for something requiring a place to rest your arm like rocking a baby, but for an occasional/accent chair, that may not matter to most. Is cute and soft like a blanket but hard to seat on. Is not as tall so your head is not going to be resting on it, and the footrest is short, my little kids fit perfectly on it but for a grown up (I'm only 5'3) is small. If you are on the big size forget about it. I'm skinny and I barely fit.
