Good deal on these. I buy generic Sanyo MG-09 style cartridges in bulk that use this needle. The bulk units come with sapphire stylii. These are diamond. They're of good quality and improve tracking and sound. Not a bad option for the average listener replacing or upgrading from a ceramic in older record changers or midgrade turntables. These worked perfectly for my 70's era Kenwood turntable. Sound is great and very easy to install. Had purchased one of these previously but the needle was damaged (cat tested it and cat won) so purchased this double pack for future cat vs. needle matches.

Good quality replacement stylus for Numark GT record player cartridge. This was an easy install. My record player is an Ion USB Turntable fitted with a Numark GT cart. Sounds great for music lovers on a budget.

I purchased two blister packs of these Numark Groovetool styli for my TT1600 turntable with original cartridge that I have had for probably ten years or so at this point. I love the turntable, it's fantastic. I have never had a bit of trouble with it in the entire time I've owned it but I also am not admittedly a heavy user due to various living situations and it would come in fits and starts. Then one day I accidentally broke the needle while cleaning it. My own dumb fault. So, for the first time, I needed to shop for a replacement stylus. That's when I found these for cheaper than anywhere else that I had seen them, so fantastic! I'll order a couple and pretty much be set forever unless I do something stupid again. So, after waiting for them to ship, they finally got here. I was stoked! It had been a couple weeks since I could listen to my Harry Chapin records or anything else for that matter. That was, I was stoked until I got the stylus onto my cartridge. I noticed that there didn't seem to be much space at all between the cartridge and the record. Thinking I was just seeing things, I went ahead and played a couple tracks. Sounded fantastic! Until.... It got in between tracks and I could hear the grinding of the cartridge on the vinyl. I compared what I was seeing to a video I had shot of it working before I goofed up and broke the needle. There definitely was plenty of clearance before the replacement and about 1mm of clearance after replacing the stylus. Comparing the stylus holder from the blister pack and the original that I was replacing revealed that these are actually SMALLER than the one I was replacing. Thankfully I was lazy and didn't throw out the old stylus holder and I put the new stylus in the original holder. Everything was how it originally. If you are planning on purchasing these, I'd very much recommend that you do not throw away the original holder. As it is, I'm not certain I couldn't just go get a stylus somewhere else and put the needle into what I already have rather than pay for ones that are supposedly compatible with what I have. During my research up to this purchase I was reading that GrooveTool cartridges are not all that highly thought of and now I can see why, especially if Numark's redesign introduced the possibility of damage to the vinyl. ... show more

Why dont these come with some sort of protection like the cartidges do? My package was all smashed, im hoping the needles are still good but there should be some sort of cover protecting these.
