First countertop ice maker for me. Have a small, old refrigerator that has no ice maker. Tired of filling ice trays, spilling water on the floor, then having to wait hours for the water to freeze. I live in a small home so I wanted something that wouldn't take up a lot of space. This item was compact yet makes a lot of ice. I love the handle so I can move it off my counter after I've made the ice and stored it in the freezer. It makes ice quickly. I love that it is a simple operation. No complicated buttons. It's so nice to have the chewy ice available quickly. I use Wal-Mart's Spring Water. Tastes great. There is enough ice made twice a week to allow me to have plenty of ice all week. This is literally the best ice I’ve ever had! Better than Sonic!!! The machine is easy to use and money well spent. It doesn’t hold very much ice, but it’s a good amount for one or two people and it makes new ice very quickly. I highly recommend this ice maker!!!

    • Sturdy, but soft ice is expected to be wet
This countertop ice maker feels sturdy and well-built, and it started producing bullet-shaped ice in about 30 minutes, if not a little sooner. The machine is easy to use, and once it gets going, it continues making ice at a steady pace. One thing I noticed is that the bullet ice is fairly soft and wet when it's first made. If you transfer it directly to the freezer, the cubes tend to freeze together into a solid clump. I found this ice maker works best when you use the ice shortly after it's is made rather than storing it for later. Another minor issue is that the ice will occasionally build up at the chute where it drops into the basket. It's not a significant problem, but it's a good idea to occasionally move the ice away from the chute and spread it around the basket so new ice can fall freely. Overall, this is a solid, well-made ice maker that performs as expected. As long as you understand that freshly made bullet ice is soft and is best used right away, it does a good job and earns a positive rating from me. ... show more

I have another ice maker that was gifted to me but wanted nugget like ice to fit in my smaller hydroflask! Runs well and also does make a lot of ice in a small amount of time. My other one took all day to make about a glad gallon size worth of ice to fill. This one cranks out so much!! So far works great and no complaints!! I don't hate this, just don't love it. I guess I had higher expectations for the cost and other reviews about the performance. I was hoping for more ice production for use in our coolers and it can be a bit noisy. Also, the bottom of the ice bucket tends to drip more the an I was expecting but, it is nice to have fresh little ice cubes waiting for you right there on the counter. It could have a bigger water holding capacity. But other than that it makes ice fast and is quiet. Only had a few days so can’t really say how long it will last. Price is decent.
