I bought this truck as a gift for my nephew. I wanted to test it out before giving it to him to make sure it was what I wanted for him. It comes with one battery, which took a couple hours to charge. It comes with a USB cable to charge it, but you have to have the USB adapter to plug it in to the wall to charge -- I just used the charger cube for my iPhone. The charger cable has a light that is red while charging, but turns green when it is done. I wasn't expecting that, but thought it was cool enough to share. The truck definitely climbs and I thought it was really fun. It lasted about 45 min until I stopped playing with it, but I think it could've kept going a while yet. I think my nephew will love it. The durability factor will need to be edited after he gets his hands on it. The only negative I can see so far, is the remote control doesn't have a high quality feel to it. The plastic doesn't feel super solid and the trigger felt kind of weak to me. I'll edit after my nephew has it for a while. ... show more

Started out so well. Great 4WD, awesome speed, lots of fun. After about 5 minutes of use, the front started dragging around and acting up. Picked it up and noticed the front wheels were no longer moving. My son tried it again thinking maybe it would run ok like that and then when it wouldn't steer right he barely bumped a wall and we noticed the spring on the one front wheel was popped out of its socket. The small plastic piece that holds the spring in place by the axle shattered to pieces causing it to let the spring pop out. I was able to determine the drive problem was due to poor assembly. The wire to the motor was pinched in the housing leaving it too short to handle the full range of motion. When the springs fully extended, it caused the leads to break off of the motor. I was able to get it torn apart, unpinch the wire, and resolder the connections and get the front wheels moving again. The problem is with the piece for the shock broken, it still won't drive. I'm going to try to fabricate a replacement on my own. Couldn't return it because we already threw away the box. Wasn't worried about issues because it had such good reviews. Guess that was my mistake. ... show more

My 6 year old son has had a blast driving this around the house and outside! The battery life, how it drives, and everything is awesome but the only thing that is kind of annoying is that you need to unscrew the bottom to get out the battery pack and then screw it back in again it would be better if there was just a little latch or something holding the battery in versus the screw but besides that it's definitely worth the money! ... show more

The Good: I'm very surprised how well this product works for the cost. The vehicle power is very strong and has no problems with thick grass or rocks, the controller range is above average, and the battery lasts well over 30 minutes every charge. Overall, it does what it should extremely well. The Bad: The truck frame is cheap plastic. After a couple of days and quite few roll overs the lights on top have already broke off, and the frame is pretty scratched up. While the battery lasts a long time, it also takes an overly long time to charge(4-5 hours) because there is only a USB charger in the box. Neither of these are large issues though. ... show more
