The NQB Baseball Softball Backstop Net is a nice quality, medium duty net. I'm not sure how it would hold up to the repeated strikes of a baseball as I ordered this to use as a ball barrier for pickleball... something is exceeds at. The netting is light enough for easy transport and hanging. I ordered a second which I intend to cut into smaller sections to string in a pvc frame as ball barriers between individual pickleball courts as well. ... show more

    • hard to get tight
nice setup that you don't need a frame, but at the same time its' hard to get this tight without any slack in it. we tried to attach this to our fence and it just wasn't working out all that well.

    • Good but I'd recommend the 'golf' version
This net works great, I'm using it to catch disc golf discs at 50-70mph and it shows no signs of giving up. But with that said, I'd recommend the 'golf' version of this net for any use (particularly baseball!) because it has a smaller grid of rope. It's $10 more but the grid is ~1" instead of ~2", with the larger holes of this net, if one connection fails, you have a hole that's big enough for a baseball to fly through, potentially damaging whatever's behind the net. With a smaller grid like the golf version has, one failure does not leave a big enough hole for a baseball to fit through. Seems like a no-brainer to me to just have the smaller grid, but it is $10 more (for the 10ft x 10ft) so that's worth considering. As I said, this net has worked great so far with no tears, but over time and exposure to the elements I'm sure it will start to, so I'd err on the side of caution and recommend the golf version instead of this one, but this one is well made and does the job exactly as intended, so absolutely no complaints! I have both the baseball net and golf net from this manufacturer and both work great (I'm using them together to catch disc golf discs as I practice at home) but I ... show more

    • Netting frayed after use
The net was easy to assemble and works as it should but has frayed somewhat over time. I guess that is to be expected. Hope to get another season's use out of it.

This pickleball catcher net is a lifesaver for me. I love playing pickleball in my cul-de-sac, but I hate losing my balls down the storm drain. It seems like they always find their way there, no matter how careful I am. That’s why I bought this net to cover the drain opening. It works like a charm. It catches all the stray balls and prevents them from disappearing forever. Now I can play pickleball without worrying about losing my balls. The net is very easy to use. I just lay it over the drain. It is stretchy and flexible, so it fits well over the drain. I don’t know how it would perform if I used it in a different way, like in a frame or outdoors for a long time. I only use it when I play pickleball, and then I store it in a bin. It suits my needs perfectly. I highly recommend this pickleball catcher net to anyone who plays pickleball in an area with a storm drain or any other hole that can swallow your balls.     • Works Great, Easy to Set Up
I use this netting to be able to smack balls from a tee without having to have someone else around to catch the balls. The netting is good quality (4 stars) and is holding up well so far. Only time will tell how well the outside wrapping of the ropes will hold up. This is a great product for practicing and the balls slide down the net for easy retrieval and re-set. Not sure I want to use this for Golf Balls as the hole size might be only just small enough for that, but for baseballs I have no concerns. Great Netting and easy to set up as long as you have anchor points (trees or something sturdy) to attach the rope to. ... show more

I got this to put on top of my koi quarantine tank. So I'm not using it for what it's intended purpose is. I have to say that it's built well and I imagine would work perfectly for a softball backstop. For a net to keep fish in the tank, the holes are a bit too big but I really like the material it's made out of. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This net (I have the 10x10 version) is sturdier than I expected. The outside edge is thicker cord and allowed me to tie pieces of string (included) to each corner and attach the other ends to 4 eye bolts that I installed in 2 trees, creating a taut net that's great for soccer shots. For my application, I cut 4 pieces of the included string at 5' each, tied one to each corner of the net and the other end to a carabiner, which I connected to the eye bolts. This allowed me to draw the net tight both across and down. It's holding up well so far and I would definitely recommend this. My only regret is not going with a larger size, but live and learn! ... show more
