I was looking for a somewhat firm base to put on top of my extra firm mattress that is 2 years old because my 2 inch memory foam topper wasn't comfortable anymore. I wasn't sure if the topper was maybe sinking or if the mattress was sinking where I sleep? but I thought this novilla 4 inch topper would allow me to keep that firm foundation and get some more life out of my 2 year old mattress. as this was inflating I got the genius idea to slide it into my mattress encasement protector before the novilla was fully inflated because it would slide in better not expanded. so I shimmied it in and left it upzipped for a few hours. there was a ridge along the middle where that section had gotten exposed to air first. the sides closest to the encasement zipper were bowing up and they seemed to be the last to expand. I used the straps on these corners to secure the topper to the mattress. after a couple hours I zipped it up, threw my 2 inch biopedic charcoal swirl memory foam topper on top, then put a california design den quilted topper on top of that. the california design den quilter topper has deep pockets like 21 inches, so it kind of wrapped everything up. I am so pleased with this set up. I don't know if the novilla expanded all the way to 4 inches, or if the corners fully expanded. I put it in the encasement and haven't looked at it since a few hours after opening. I can definitely feel the solid support of this topper creating a nice foundation for the 2 inch charcoal swirl memory foam topper, then the quilted pillow top on top of that. I don't sink in but I feel wonderfully relaxed and cradled. this set up is awesome if you like a firm support but also don't want a bunch of uncomfortable tossing and turning with pressure points. I hope I continue to enjoy this setup. I do think this topper would have been too firm for me without the biopedic 2 inch memory foam and the california design den quilted topper on top. ... show more

Bought this pad because it looked comfortable but it slides all over. The straps slip off so I bought sheet clips to attached to straps hoping this would help keeping it in place but it still slides. Be careful getting in & out of bed. Upside it is comfortable.

This mattress topper is great. The packaging is sturdy and the manufacturer was considerate enough to match the envelope opener slitter so that we can make sure the mattress is not scratched when we open the bag. After opening the package and leaving it for a while the mattress rebounded, the mattress has no odor and is very comfortable, and its height is just right for me. It comes with a mattress cover and the bottom four corners have a fixed belt, they can also prevent the mattress from moving. The size is just right.So far very satisfied! ... show more

The mattress pad that the topper in, is great quality! I ordered the 3 inch and let it expand for 24 hours and it only expanded to about 2 inches. the corner never fully expanded. Did make my bed more comfy but not worth $100.
