Works great for what I wanted. At first it seems as if two nuts are missing but you have to put the screws in a specific way so you don't need nuts. The supporting piece that attaches the tray to the pipe is plastic and I wasn't particularly impressed with it. However I simply replaced it with a pipe flange to attach the top instead. Obviously I didn't use the metal tray but rather a cheap desktop from a folding lap desk. As you can see it turned out pretty well. Definitely worth the money and once I figured out how to do it easy to install. Installation is solid and supports the weight of the desk without any wobbling or leaning. FYI you need a 1 inch pipe flange to fit over the top of the pipe. ... show more

This thing is amazing. No more worries about pulling your rolling cart up on your mat and tipping it over. No more hair tangled up in the wheels of the rolling tray! No more bumping and knocking things off on the floor from an unsteady rolling cart. This is an awesome solution for all those problems!!! I like it but. The top doesn’t feel steady and leans. It doesn’t rotate around the chair easy especially if a heavier client is in my chair. The inside of the top I have had to shim to keep from leaning and the part attached to The chair keeps loosening. I tried getting used to it and lost my return window. ... show more

    • Make your job easier & Give the TRAY a TRY!
I’ve wanted one of these for some time now. I finally got one to put on my second salon chair. I think I made the mistake of thinking this is universal, but my salon chairs aren’t exactly uniform to other salons. That’s the reason for the 4 star review. I can’t move the whole tray around the chair bc it won’t adjust long enough to pass by the seat. Otherwise it does everything it’s supposed to. Sturdy & steady & easy to put together. Only took me a few minutes. It’s metal! I did use a screw gun and not the tools it came with to tighten it down. I say you can’t go wrong with this if you need a tray for your salon chairs. These work great. Just know that they will make your chair an inch or so higher. If you are a shorty like me (5’2”) your shoulders will feel it, but I think it’s worth it.
