I have to use my readers to see the various functions, but that's my problem I guess. The pdf manual has to be downloaded from Focusrite. No info was included in the pkg about that or anything else. Only a safety data sheet. Once I Googled Novation owner's manual I was good. So, don't waste your time looking for it on the Novation site. The keybed is firm, but not too firm. It's perfect for me. I'm using Ableton as my DAW and so it configures seamlessly. So many options, but it's already proving to be an asset to my production process, it's only day two! ... show more

    • Better than Arturia MK3, Easy Logic integration
Last year I bought an Arturia MK3 Essential and sent it back immediately. The keys were very plastic and had that annoying clacking sound. On top of that, the Arturia had a very cumbersome script installation process which did not go well. Customer support was basically a joke. After some time and deliberation I decided to try the Launchkey 49 MK4. My experience was like night and day. The support page is very smoothe and well designed. Set-up was a breeze and so was the script integration for Logic Pro. The overall build and keybed feel solid. I look forward to learning all of the cool features but for now I'm just happy to have a keyboard the I could configure and play within an hour of unboxing. Well done Novation! ... show more

As my first MIDI controller, I am thoroughly impressed. So many features to use. The build quality is great. Keys feel good to me, especially since I'm used to semi-weighted keys. Overall, I can't wait to do awesome stuff with it. It might not respond immediately once you connect it to your machine and update it, but it will eventually. ... show more

Completly randomized velocity of notes renders this useless. you also have to slam the keys to produce even slight noise
