I have not had these for very long. The boot is comfortable and looks good. So far seem water proof and time will tell how long they will last. I would recommend buying this shoe.

I have at least 4 other different brand men's work boots. I ordered these because they're black and priced lower than my other pairs. (Note; I have sensitive feet, so I always order a half size larger. So this pair still fit.) Right off they felt comfortable. This is the only pair of boot that I can actually just slide into! I liked that. And taking off is just as easy. I knew as soon as I put them on, they are about a half size smaller than my other pairs of the same size. I think they may also be a little narrower? So I would say they run small. There's a loop (my finger is pointing to it in the photo) that works great. It pulls the boot in so it doesn't gap. I couple of my brands gap in that area and that makes them feel bulky. The rubber soles were almost too rubbery, where I almost tripped with my boot sticking/catching. But as I've worn them the day, they've picked up enough "dirt" that they're fine now. I do not care for the top 2 lace hooks. They kind of go in hard and are even harder to pull out. Which will also wear out your laces. But I found I can leave the 2nd one down laced up and still slide in and out. Very rare! All my boots, I have to unlace to get them off or on. So I do like the ease of putting these on and off. Wearing them all day, I think there's not enough arch support. Without that there, my feet have more pressure else where, making them not as comfortable. If I'm going to wear these all day, I would need to add the arch support and I already know there's not much room to do that, with them running a little smaller. They look nice and if I want to look nice and wear black boot, I've got them. But for an all day job, I'll still put on my most comfortable 'Rocky' boots! UPDATE: I bought a plain foam shoe insert from a dollar store. (It's flat and even.) I put it UNDER the insole that came with the boots. For me, this made a big difference for comfort. Very cheap fix. And there was room for it. It didn't seem to make my foot come any higher where it was touching anywhere. I'm much happier now.

Mfr.wants $83.99 for these boots. After receiving them,I inspected them while trying on. True to size as is all other Nortiv 8 boots I have bought. With the the discount offered,I immediately ordered another pair. Have not worn yet,only tried them on & walked around living room. I have always had great luck with this brand. No reason to believe I wouldn't with these!

I sometimes work in a lab and am required to have steel toed shoes. The NORTIV boots fit the bill and had the benefit of being waterproof. I normally wear a wide shoe: 4E. I was afraid these shoes would squeeze my feet but they're only a tad tight width-wise and seem to work just fine. The laces close to the ankle come off easily without undoing the lacing. This is a great time saver and I don't know why all shoes don't have their top laces like this. As written in the title, the shoes are heavy - even in comparison to my hiking shoes. If you're on your feet all day and walking on uneven surfaces, your legs/feet will fatigue faster but I only wear these for the drop protection and am normally seated. The soles are soft when you're standing but when you start walking, you'll notice they don't flex very much. This contributes to the leg/foot fatigue but again, if you're not walking around all day, you won't notice it. I think the Nortivs are a great option if you need steel toed shoes on occasion and don't want to spend a lot of money.

I really like the way these fit. They're very comfortable and more breathable than I expected. They're extremely durable and very well made. For being steel toed, they are surprisingly lightweight and easy to walk in. The oil and slip resistant tread is very good for all work situations. The cut, and style looks good and is functional as well. The waterproofing works excellent! I'm a plumber by trade, and I'm in wet, muddy trenches a lot, and these are keeping my feet comfortable and dry!

I wear size 13 and have wide set toes -- I've never had a pair of steel toes that don't pinch my toes a bit, and these are no exception. But they are very true to size and the pinching was very minimal. I wore them while using a string trimmer to tidy up a couple acres of brush today, and barely noticed I had them on. My wife complimented them when I got back in, she said they look really good on me. Now that's a good boot: one you don't notice but your wife does!

For the most part these boots are good for the price. They feel sturdy and protective, but to me they seem like they're made on the cheaper side, so at this point I'm not sure they'll stand the test of time. Relatively comfortable for boots like this and break in easily.
