Size: 7.5 Wide Color: Black
First day wearing these. I’m sure I’ll be back to review how they last overtime because I intend to buy another pair. First, there was no break-in period. These shoes were comfortable within five minutes of wearing them. They seem well made, but time will tell. For a steel toe, they are light and comfortable. The wide in this size is about 4.5” wide and perfect for my size. The length is longer than their shoe chart says. My feet are 9.8 inches and I ordered a 7 1/2 which said it was 9.8 inches. I have a full inch between my toes and the end of the shoe. So next time I will order half a size down. But I definitely will order wide again because most shoes that say they’re wide, aren’t very wide. These are perfect. In other shoes that are supposed to be wide, the steel toe ends up squishing my toes or poking my little toe and irritating it. This isn’t gonna be a problem with these boots. My toes have plenty of wiggle room. Of course I’m a woman ordering a man’s shoes so that might be typical for a man’s shoe, I don’t know. Tonight I will treat the leather with mink oil (to condition, protect, & waterproof the leather) and the cloth parts I am treating with a waterproofer. Because I don’t wanna be at work and end up with wet feet. I don’t know if other reviews are accurate, but some reviews said the waterproof already on the boot wasn’t the greatest. Plus, this should help the boots last longer. The boots don’t have much in the way of cushioning, but I always wear insoles for high arches so I will be adding that when the water proofed dries. And there seems to be plenty of room for a nice thick pair of inserts.Another review mentioned that the lace up part of the shoe was decorative, that is not true at all. You can take them on and off by lacing them and unlacing them, or you can use the zipper. I appreciated that they came laced in the same way a military boot should be laced to facilitate fast tightening and tying. But these are not speed laces so that might be a moot point. The soles feel nice and thick and they do not feel like they are going to be slippery, but I haven’t tried them out in wet environments yet. When I come back and update I’m sure I will be able to tell you more about them at that point. They might become slippery after wearing them for a while, because that would smooth out the bottom. I like that the top that goes around your calf is cushioned and the top of the zipper has a piece that goes over it and Velcro to make sure it doesn’t come down while you’re walking. There is also a piece of leather type fabric behind the zipper that attaches on both sides. That ensures that you’re not going to catch your clothes in the zipper and because they put it on both sides, you don’t have to play with it to get it to cover the zipper from the back. That’s a really nice touch. The laces have metal eyelets to increase durability. Even if they use boots only last six months, I believe they are worth the cost. Even though they are for work, I will most likely wear them hiking as well. They are tall enough that they will provide some protection if a snake were to strike… although a full leather boot would be better for that, but I don’t own any as of yet. I forgot to mention, some people said that the boots start coming apart after a while. There’s a really good chance they just don’t know how to take care of leather. That’s what the mink oil is for. Not only does it condition & protect the leather, it makes it weatherproof. You have to pay special attention to the stitching. You wanna make sure the stitching gets a good dose of the mink oil. Otherwise, when the boots get wet and the stitching gets wet, water will get in the little holes where it has been stitched And will cause the stitches to rot. So not only does mink oil condition and protect the leather, but it protects the stitching & fills the tiny stitching holes. And you should be redoing the oil on a regular basis depending on how often your boots get wet. If you don’t know how to use this oil on leather, you can look up a video. ... show more

  • All around good quality for active job
Size: 6.5 Color: Black
I've noticed these are often on sale, and hell yeah, very reasonable price for the quality. Comfy for daily wear & high activity job on concrete floors. Soles wore out after a couple months, but as to be expected with frequency of use. Zipper side is super convenient 👏 So many people stepped on or kicked my feet lol & pallets sometimes fell on em, and steel toes did their job excellently. Sizing is accurate too, we love to see it. ... show more

  • Good for price
Size: 9.5 Color: Black
Pretty comfy for all day use, didn’t take long to break in. True to size. I will say I bought them at the beginning of this summer and they currently look like I’ve had them for 2 years lol some strings are frayed out and probably just need to be cleaned. I will say they aren’t THAT waterproof in the sense that I wore them while working in the rain and my feet were soaked, the boots held up though so I guess they may be waterproof? Also could improve the non slip, I’ve slipped plenty times lol but hey, for the price I guess you get what you pay for and they are overall good ... show more

Size: 8 Wide Color: Black
This is the 2nd pair I have bought and they are by far the best pair for comfort and size. They fit perfectly and it’s almost like they were pre broken in and excellent quality perfect

  • Boots are true size.
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black
Great boots, the sizing guide here is a true sizing guide I got a 10 1/2 and I’m a 10, so boots were a half size too big. Would buy again.

  • Nice while it lasted. Zippers are an early point of failure
Size: 11 Color: Black
To be honest and fair, that zipper blowout in the first picture happened from a small tear catching on my bicycle while I was pedaling. You can see in the second image that it was starting to fray on my other boot as well, and may have progressed further if I wore them more. It wouldn't be unheard of to catch the zipper on something in the workplace like I did on my bike, I just wanted to be transparent 😅 Really awesome pair of boots, my initial impression was very positive. But much like the very short lived pair of boots that came before it, I could tell what was going to fail on the boots, and that it wouldn't take long for it to happen. On this pair it was the zipper. That being said they were really enjoyable until they failed, and I'm sad to see them go. I had my doubts about how waterproof this pair would be with the zipper, but these boots actually kept my feet dry better than a lot of other "waterproof" pairs. Wore these daily while cleaning a grocery store cooler floor, where lots of housing and squeegee-ing is involved and good boots are pretty darn important for comfort. I wore these with gel/foam inserts so I can't comment on how comfortable they are without those added, but they fit comfortably, and seemed alright for standing on hard surfaces for long periods. I'd say comfort was maybe 7/10. Good support, I liked that this boot was a lot higher up on the ankle. The steel toe on this boot was actually really well done as far as I could tell, I had no instances of my toes rubbing up on them. They don't seem to protrude on the inside of the boot very much. And they did shield my toes comfortably from some heavy things falling, and some heavy wheeled carts rolling into my foot, more than once. Watch out for these soles being rather slippery. Once I knew to be wary of it it wasn't a big deal but this could definitely get someone hurt if they're not careful. These soles just seemed more slippery than your average pair of boots compared to similar products. Really liked how these looked and felt, enjoyed the build quality (except for around the zipper) I might try for a different nortiv8 boot offering without a zipper and see how it works for me. If they beefed up the zipper I would say solid 4 star product for SURE. As it is now, it's a high 3 star product, maybe look at a zipper less boot from them ... show more

  • Affordable and reliable
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black
As someone who for years has relied on boots like Bates or Belleville for my line of work I decided it was time for a change. After 9 years I got tired of spending 150+ for boots I knew I would replace due to inevitable wear and tear after a year since you can't easily repair leather after countless scuffs from ladder wells, non-skid, knee knockers, etc. These boots caught my eye for looking similar to a pair of Bates which cost well over two times more than what I paid for these (about $52). For the price and Amazon's amazing return policy I decided to give them a try. Note to others the sizing is what you would normally wear for casual/tennis shoes, NOT boot sizes, as in 10.5 is same as EU 44 or 10.8" foot length. These fit perfectly for me (10.5 wide), the top portion feels nice on the back of heels as well. The insoles could be better, me personally I usually opt to use my own anyway. The craftsmanship of the boot and look? Top tier. I've been wearing boots for almost 10 years y'all, and I've owned some pretty solid boots that before today I would suggest to my junior guys before anything else. Now? Honestly I'm tempted to not tell more people about these because I don't want the prices to skyrocket. They have a zipper on the side, which is in the perfect spot so you can tie these up, but then when you want to take off the boots immediately upon getting home all you have to do IS UNZIP and the boot slides off effortlessly. That's not to say the boots are loose on your feet, you can get them snug, but the ease of removing them is a huge plus when I'm running late. They clean easy, as with any leather boot buff blacken and buff some more. I have yet to find out if these are truly waterproof, since owning them I haven't been rained on (knock on wood), but when the time comes I'll try to remember to update. These aren't hot boots, my feet don't sweat any more than usual in these. Bottom line, I will be buying these from now on. ... show more
