As someone who for years has relied on boots like Bates or Belleville for my line of work I decided it was time for a change. After 9 years I got tired of spending 150+ for boots I knew I would replace due to inevitable wear and tear after a year since you can't easily repair leather after countless scuffs from ladder wells, non-skid, knee knockers, etc. These boots caught my eye for looking similar to a pair of Bates which cost well over two times more than what I paid for these (about $52). For the price and Amazon's amazing return policy I decided to give them a try. Note to others the sizing is what you would normally wear for casual/tennis shoes, NOT boot sizes, as in 10.5 is same as EU 44 or 10.8" foot length. These fit perfectly for me (10.5 wide), the top portion feels nice on the back of heels as well. The insoles could be better, me personally I usually opt to use my own anyway. The craftsmanship of the boot and look? Top tier. I've been wearing boots for almost 10 years y'all, and I've owned some pretty solid boots that before today I would suggest to my junior guys before anything else. Now? Honestly I'm tempted to not tell more people about these because I don't want the prices to skyrocket. They have a zipper on the side, which is in the perfect spot so you can tie these up, but then when you want to take off the boots immediately upon getting home all you have to do IS UNZIP and the boot slides off effortlessly. That's not to say the boots are loose on your feet, you can get them snug, but the ease of removing them is a huge plus when I'm running late. They clean easy, as with any leather boot buff blacken and buff some more. I have yet to find out if these are truly waterproof, since owning them I haven't been rained on (knock on wood), but when the time comes I'll try to remember to update. These aren't hot boots, my feet don't sweat any more than usual in these. Bottom line, I will be buying these from now on.

Can not rate water resistance yet. First pair I got had some kind of problem with the heal in the right boot after 3 months and out of warranty. Called the seller and explained how the heal had collapsed on the inside causing you to walk on the inside. This caused my ankle to hurt after a couple of hours. They could not replace, which I understood, but did offer a partial refund. I ordered another pair as these and wear well in my environment. I do wish the arch support and sole was a little stiffer. But these boots fit my narrow foot extremally well. The replacement boot is working out well. I guess it is possible I broke whatever support is in the sole by stomping on shovels causing the heal to roll to the inside. So far so good with the new pair. I would recommend giving these boots a try as they are really comfortable.

I buy these boots for my son every year on his birthday. They are so comfortable and supportive. We are on his 4th pair. They last the whole year. Waterproof, Warm, and great quality. Will definitely keep buying them, especially for the price.

I've worn these for about 4 months now and at first they were really great, great fit, the zipper is really handy and they were really comfortable, but the souls are low quality and they wear out very fast. It's made of a soft rubber material that wears out after 3 to 5 months of moderate use. They wear down really fast and after a certain point they start to develop holes on the bottom which exposes the insoul of the shoe to the elements outside. I've had multiple instances where I stepped in a small puddle when it's raining and the water seeps through the bottom of the shoe where the souls are worn down and soak the entire inside after 2 minutes of walking. Plus these shoes have basically zero slip resistance and they are very squeaky.

Good for the money, it’s pretty good material, nice fitment, real light weight, has good support around the ankles, zipper feels nice Dislikes How fat it looks around the ankles I can feel rocks when I step into a rocky area I changed the soles to thicker, softer, more reliable soles from Walmart. Feels cheaply made when it comes to actually putting them to work.
