I ordered this orchard sprayer. When it arrived, it was missing the entire cart assembly and drawbar. I called NorthStar and was told my missing part would be sent second day air. It took the better part of a week to arrive. When it arrived, it was missing the front and rear axle brackets. I called again and was told I would get these missing parts sent by second day air. Since the cart assembly is supposed to be assembled by the factory, this shipment was to include the front and back axle brackets AND the bolts to attach them. This order did arrive by second day air. When I opened the package the axles brackets were there and additionally, there were two unneeded axles and axle pins. However, there were no bolts! I called again and was told the bolts and nuts would be sent. Not wanting to miss another spraying opportunity and since the parts list in the owner’s manual does not list these particular items, I tried to find a parts diagram on line so I could buy the proper bolts and nuts locally. Apparently, a simple diagram showing all parts is not available online either from North Star or other part suppliers. Another call to NorthStar suggested I compare the holes in the drawbar and if the same buy that size. I am amazed that they do not know the connector sizes. Other than this problem, the spray looks well built.

I thought this was going to be perfect for my 20 tree home orchard. Undaunted by other negative reviews, I ordered the item. It arrived missing parts in a box that obviously hod been opened. Assembly was a snap. It worked perfectly - twice. On the third use it unexpectedly quit after spraying the first tree. I did everything the manual suggested like checking the fuse etc. It now sits in my orchard with 16 gallons of copper spray in the tank. For the $500 price, I can’t justify simply throwing it away and getting a different brand. So I guess we’ll see what, if anything the manufacturer can or will do at this point. Bottom line, I knew the company was poorly reviewed and I bought it anyway. Lesson learned.

Have had little use but am very favorably impressed by the well organized and detailed assembly instructions, the design and workmanship of the unit, and the efficient packing of components. Assembly was easy and initial performance is outstanding. VERY effective spray fogger pattern to high reach stream. Glad I bought the High Pressure version.

If the thing sits for a while, you have to reprime it by taking the suction hose off, (loosen clamp first), and put a garden hose into the suction. At the same time have the electric motor running and the gun on to allow flow. Of course you need a few gallons of water in the tank too so that when it primes again it has some water to keep it going. Sometimes takes 2-4 times to get it going again.

Sprayer arrived in timely fashion and in good condition. Assembly was easy. Mostly I use this sprayer on my 30 fruit trees. Tank capacity is great, I only need to mix I application per use. Range and reach of the hand held gun is awesome. I am getting much better coverage and canopy penetration than with my old fimco sprayer. I recommend this product for the small orchard owner. I'm only into my first season with it so I can't speak to longevity of the unit. It appears well built and seems heavy duty compared to what I had. Time will tell but I am optimistic.

Sprayer arrived with a stripped hose clamp, and unsecured bolt insert in the tank itself causing the hose holder securing bolt to just spin instead of tightening. Tried to contact Northstar today but only open M-F 9-5 central. Im mountain.

It works very nicely. It would have been much nicer if they could manufacture this with a spring-loaded retractable hose.

It did what it said it would do. I have two trees that are 30’ tall. The bag worms were so bad the trees were about to die, I needed a sprayer that would reach the top of these trees. This sprayer did that, the swing arms was an added bonus.
