I recieved the shoe very fast! It is difficult to buy a hiking shoe without trying on and must rely on website description. This hiking shoe is well constructed for a low cut hiking shoe. It has a snug heel fit that keeps your foot in place. The low cut has padding that is very comfortable. The sole appears to have good grip for hiking on all terrain. This is a good intermediate hiking shoe for a great price. Unfortunately the 7.5 that I typically order in hiking shoe was too snug and my normal size foot had issues with it being too snug & rubbed. This is my second pair of north side hiking shoes/boots and I thought that I needed to size up because my pinky toe kept rubbing with my original pair. But now trying on a half size bigger on a totally different style I’ve realized the toe box is VERY oval and narrow and that’s why it’s rubbing, not because of the shoe size. I’ve never ever had issues with toe boxes on shoes as I have slender feet, but even with narrow feet this toe box is too narrow for my toes. So beware. Purchased the hiking shoes for outside work, (mowing, trimming brush, etc.) Ordered a size larger for heavy socks, too short tried a thinner socks still not comfortable to wear for work all day. I work at UPS as a preloader (loading up the local delivery trucks) so honestly I bought these for this job as they were affordable and I did try before you buy. They weren’t too hot or anything, and I’m not doing anything super crazy so I figured they’d work, since I’m not allowed to have regular tennis shoes. I bought these literally July 2022 and this is what they look like already….I’m kind of disappointed they are already falling apart SO badly. I ONLY wear them to work, I don’t kick into things or do anything crazy like I mentioned so I’m not sure why this happened. So if you’re looking for something just cheap and short lived probably great, but if you’re wanting them to last longer than a couple months-don’t bother. ... show more

I purchased these boots about a year ago because I was tired of using Nike running shoes to hike in and slipping and sliding all over the place. I was pretty skeptical when I bought them just because the price is so low for hiking boots. After a year of hikes in them, I am SO PLEASED with my purchase. I've used these in almost every type of terrain - mud, sand, rocks, rivers, plain old dirt - and they never make me feel like I'm going to slip or fall. Minus one star because they're a tad clunky and were a little big for my feet. I'm pretty petite and usually a size 7.5 so, with that being said, I do wear double socks with these. Longest hike I've worn them on so far was about 8 miles over mountainous and rocky terrain and I had no problems with sore feet or lack of support (my dog was probably wishing he had a pair of these as well). ... show more

I bought these for work, I wear them 50 hours a week for work outside at a tree farm. They are extremely soft and comfortable. I have flat feet and other issues so I immediately feel when a shoe isn't well made or doesn't fit properly. I bought them 1 size up as my feet swell but they are wide but I can tighten them enough. They are holding up well as I walk alot through algae,sand,grass,water ....I would reccomend! ... show more
