We are brand new to owning chicken and hatching chickens. I tried the incubator out with just 1 egg and it worked like a charm. Only complaint I'd have was the bottle of water that you put on there would spill for a second when you first flip it. But it wasn't a big issue and was easy to clean up. Our chick hatched and was healthy.

I like that it keeps the temperature pretty steady. I do NOT like that it is shown with a bottle for water, even refers to it in the directions, but you WILL NOT RECEIVE A BOTTLE, even when you order 2 of these incubators! Either get that bottle out of the picture or put one in the shipment!!! Tell people they're on their own trying to find a small bottle that will fit and actually stand up to provide hydration. UPDATE: I am now completely disappointed! We hatched one batch of eggs when I first bought this and since then I have tried to use it to hatch more. The auto rotate feature no longer works. So every 4 to 6 hours I have to rotate the eggs by hand. I had hoped that this would be an incubator that would do more than one batch of eggs!! Very disappointing!

This thing is great at hatching eggs! It turns them periodically, keeps the humidity topped off with the bottle system, and maintains a stable temperature. Complications arise, however, when a chick hatches. You probably won't be around for when it does, and by the time you get back to it, the machine has probably rolled the little fella with its turning mechanism. Not sure how dangerous that is for it, but it's a clear indication that you should use a second incubator for mature, pre-hatching eggs. Credit to this incubator, it does come with a little instruction paper explaining that you should *not* roll the mature eggs, and that you can remove the turning armature to let the incubator incubate those eggs. Trouble with that is, what do I do with the less-developed eggs that still need turning? Turning them by hand defeats the purpose of having a machine do it for you. You really should get a second incubator -- maybe even this same one?

I've had this incubator for several months now and it's not my favorite, but it IS functional. This is great for beginners or if you only have a few eggs to hatch. Pros: -Comes with perfectly fitted styrofo box to maintain temperature -Plug in and walk away -Affordable Cons: -If you use the Styrofoam box, you don't really see the eggs. So make sure to open the box up to check on your eggs -The automatic egg turner REALLY turns those eggs. Like fast. -Most incubators have the ability to manually check if the Egg Turner is working. This doesn't have that. I do the dry hatch method so I don't have any comments on the water bottle system it includes. I've never hooked it up. Which is tragic because it looks like a fair amount of people didn't receive it in their order.

Love this little guy. it is completely self sufficient. no hands on. this thing was set up turned on adjusted temperature and let her go. 1st hatch of button quail no issues what so ever. she is loaded up with second batch and should hatch out 1/2/25... Cant wait. very good little machine.

This is the first incubator we got. We have hatched chicks and ducks. It doesn't have a loud noise, you can hear when it rolls the eggs. During hatching period you take out the part that makes it spin. Its easy to use and easy to clean. I would definitely recommend this.
