  • Good machine
I bought from Nordic Dan, Ordered because I stopped running after moving here, as the terrain is so hilly, and it was taking a toll on my feet and knees. It's quite good. I really don't know why they don't have it at health clubs as it exercises you every bit as well as an elliptical, and doesn't use a motor or power. Quite easy to put together, even for someone who is bad at that kind of thing. Adding the legs at the front was a bit tough, and would have been easier if I had someone helping me hold the unit was the front legs were screwed in. The seller charged a bit more than the cheapest sellers but less than Nordic Track charges, but he seemed more reliable than some of the the others, based on user feedback, and I decided it was worth it. Equipment came in very good condition and was delivered on Saturday, the date I requested. ... show more

  • Once Great - Now Crap
I used to own one of these, back in the late 80's - early 90's. I had bought it used from someone nearby. It was a great machine - solid, bullet proof, smooth to operate, reasonably quiet. Overall a great value that lasted for years. Flash-forward to 2019. Somewhere among a few moves I lost the original unit, and decided to purchase a new one. What a mistake. The new versions are built to much lower standards. Its not near as solid, gone is the smooth operation, and its noisy to the point of sounding like rickety junk. I loved using my old one - I can't stand even getting on this new one. Once upon a time there were 4-5 different skier models to choose from, with the top of the line being club-level quality. Now, you can barely find a skier on the company's site. Heck, the company is named after this device - it put it on the map - and it doesn't have enough respect for its own founding product to offer it in a good design. Shame on you Nordic Track! ... show more

  • Good low impact workout
The Nordic track came with a piece broken off in shipment. I put back on with some glue. The rollers made a lot of noise. Fixed with some lubricant. It now operates smoothly. I had one about 20 years ago. Didn’t use for awhile and eventually sold it. In my opinion the price is high, and I even bought it $100 cheaper than the new listed price. But it is a great low impact workout. I am retired and as I age running is less desirable. So I run for 15 to 20 minutes. Then go to the Nordic Track for 10 to 15 minutes. Then cycle for 10 to 15 minutes. I like the variety and the cross training aspect. I do this 3 times a week. Other days I do strength training. Legs never feel dead. I don’t think I could be on it for 30 to 40 minutes. But I like it as I use now. ... show more

  • Excellent Nordic Track
I'm lazy about writing reviews and I do rely on them a lot when purchasing items, so I had such a good experience purchasing from this seller that I thought I'd better write a review. I loved my old Nordic Track skier and used it to lose all of my baby weight after my first pregnancy, but then stored it in a hot garage for 5+ years when I started running. After having three more babies I simply don't have time to run and wanted something to exercise on that's low impact. My old Nordic Track was warped from storing in a garage in 110+ degree summers. I was looking at purchasing a new one as I noticed Nordic Track is making these again, but read that they are now made in China and much inferior to my original skier that I purchased in the 90's. I was hesitant to spend this much on a "used" skier, but after communicating w/Nordic Danny several times, I felt comfortable. He was very responsive to all of my questions. I ordered the skier and it literally came within a few days. It was exceptionally packaged (the box even had handles making it easier for Fed Ex and me to move). I absolutely LOVE my skier! It's quiet, not clunky, and sturdy. My fears of spending this much on a "used" skier were put to rest immediately as this machine is better than new. Thank you! ... show more

  • Not quite the machine I remember
I used a Nordic Track Skier extensively in the 1980s. It was effective, easy to use and enabled the attainment of a high level of conditioning. The skier was very robust and very well made. Now, I was looking for a very low impact machine for aerobic conditioning. The current machine does not seem to be as robust. The construction seems "lighter" and it is not as "smooth" to operate. It does work and I use it several days per week. I suspect there are better alternatives at the price point. If you are contemplating a purchase, I suggest you try it first to determine if it is best for you. ... show more

  • Quality is not high, service fair
Just received my NEW Nordic Track Classic Pro from Amazon. This is my third one. I like the workout, but the quality of the machines is less than I would like. The toe boot on the left ski only had one screw attached to the ski. The chap who welded the bolts on the leg bracket centered one but welded the other at the upper edge of the bracket so the slide and incline clamp would not fit. Have to contact Nordic Track to get a replacement. Hope they are answering the phone these days. The monitor console is a joke. The last one I had never worked consistently and shut off repeatedly. It hit the dumpster in less than a month. It is what it is; hit and miss quality at a pretty price and spotty service. Best of luck. ... show more

  • Expensive mistake
Back in the early 1990's I purchased the basic nordic track skier. It was black and didnt have any 'bells and whistles' but it was a good, solid piece of exercise equipment that I used for years and helped me lose 20 lbs during my early 20's. Eventually my old nordic track wore out and I had to get rid of it, and a treadmill (not nordic track brand) took its place. Fast forward to 2019 I see this nordic track skier and decide to buy it. One would think that after so many years there would be improvements and upgrades to the skier, but no. First of all, it was a pain to assemble. The skis dont glide as smoothly as the original, and folding the skier for storage is not easy. You cant adjust the angle of the upper body "arm" either . This skier doesnt measure up to the original. The quality and ease of use is just not there. ... show more
