The Ufixed Non Rust 1 Inch NPT Hydraulic Ball Valve with Handle 4400PSI Leak Proof, Heavy Duty High Pressure Ball Valve is one very hefty valve (4lbs, 10.3oz). I did not order the Ufixed ball valve for any of my pressure washer pumps but rather to use as a heavy duty primary shutoff for my water main. I wanted to purchase a quality valve that, once installed, I never had to think about. As a remodel contractor, I've had to replace all sorts of valves. I have unfortunately discovered lower quality valves in areas where you would want high quality, reliable valves for quick shutoff, especially in emergency situations. I have seen more than my fair share of failed water main shutoff valves in homes... and most at critical times. I am in the process of purchasing a home; one of my first tasks will be installing this Ufixed ball valve. Given the quality and construction of this valve, I think it is priced very fairly... or extremely cheap when faced with the problems associated with cheap valves.

This is a high pressure valve for 1" lines - it's a full flow ball valve. Its described as "Hydraulic" but says it's for pressure washers - so water - and probably not hot water. There's no apparent temperature rating and the seals are some kind of plastic. Unfortunately, the pressure rating is very confusing - the title claims 7250 PSI while the description says 4400 PSI and the chart lists 4560 PSI for the 1" valve - I think the 7250 number comes from the much smaller 1/8" valve and this is a 4000 PSI class valve. Because it's intended for high pressures, it's big, heavy and stiff to operate. Thats all very normal for a HP valve like this and it functions fine. The handle works and feels typical of other valves - its stiff but it has to be. Everything looks well made and while I'm not using it at its full rated pressure, its seems like it would probably live up to its rating (4560) - its definitely not a 7200 PSI valve.

This is a very solid and heavy-duty three-way valve. It weighs in at 1 pound. A quarter turn of the lever changes the valve opening from one side to the other. The front center port is the common one. The lever is long, giving plenty of leverage to change valve position. All three ports are 1/4-inch NPT (national pipe thread) and the threads looks very clean and sharp. This is going to be used as a fuel valve for a large tractor, giving the ability to drain the fuel tank so I don't end up with stale gas after a long storage period.

I was shocked at the weight of this 1-1/4 shut off valve. Definitely heavy duty, and I have no doubts it will stand up to the pressure indicated. Valve is difficult to turn, but considering the pressure rating it isn't much more difficult than a new PVC valve. My application is an emergency shutoff for my pond pump. After replacing several magnetic pumps with one large direct drive unit, I felt my existing schedule PVC shutoff valve might be underrated for this task. I do have a relief valve and recirculation system keeping the pressure down in a shut off scenario, but I want to ensure my plumbing will hold. This valve will hold for sure. Though it's overkill for my situation, some high end PVC pool and spa valves are in this price range. For my application, I do wish there was mounting provisions built into this valve. I have a galvanized pipe serving as an input and a Schedule 80 PVC output, and the direct drive motor sits on a plastic base. With no mounting provisions, I need to ensure the weight of the valve is off the plumbing and that the motor base doesn't move when turning the tight valve, or it will tweak the pvc output plumbing. providing a footer block for the valve to site on while strapping the galvanized pipe to that block worked fine, but would have preferred to mount the valve directly. A simple addition of mounting ears would have worked for my application, and likely would open this valve up to other uses outside of pressure washing systems. All that said, my needs aren't the intended use of this valve and I'm not factoring my application into the overall rating. This is a valve made from a sold block of metal. The price is very impressive for what it is.

Well made with obviously very high quality of steel and very well machined. Not a light casting - this is an extremely substantial ball valve with a very high finish on the ball itself - and great finish on the threads. Everything is smooth yet tight. I have high confidence in this part, and I appreciate the savings of not paying for an expensive brand name - when all I need is a very good valve. This one fills that role beautifully.
