  • Super quiet and still effective.
I used this to quiet down the loud 24V fan in my professional power amplifier (QSC RMX 1450) so I can use it to power a subwoofer in my home theater. I did have to install a buck converter to drop the 24V in the amp down to 12V for the fan, but not a big deal. Essentially silent, and still moves enough air to keep my amp cool to the touch. Not sure I'd do this if the amp was still in a pro environment pumping out max volume all day, but in a home theater environment, no big deal. I've always been reluctant to pay the Noctua tax, but this thing is so good, I think I'll be coughing up the extra money on my next computer build, too. ... show more

  • Quiet, But Powerful
This little fan provides plenty of airflow. It's pretty quiet and performs well for the size. It's a great Value for the price and I would buy again.

  • Perfect
This fan works perfectly. One note make sure it's a 4 wire pwm or a 3 wire. This one works great. Very quite. High air flow. Noctura makes a good brand.

  • very quiet
Had some noisey rack-mount equipment. installed these and it's super quiet, can't hear it at all outside of the rack didn't trip any fan error codes from the low RPM either

  • Excellent fan
This fan has proven vital to my quite frankly, oven of a PC. It can easily handle the high performance games I often engage in. Would recommend as a new fan or a replacement of an old fan.

  • Awesome fans
Used these to modify my 3d printer, which sounded like an F-16 launching from a carrier deck. Now, I can hardly tell it's running, even sitting on my desk. Totally worth it.

  • Worked with FanControl on HP Omni 100
I needed this to cool a HP Omni 100 all in one PC with Windows Fast OS, I used a splitter cable to add another fan and when I turned it on, the Noctua fan powered on and off after a few seconds. I didn't find any fan setting on BIOS so I downloaded FanControl, a free software controller for fan speed and voila, you just have to adjust the speed so both fans are running and also make the application run on windows start so it opens automatically every time. ... show more

  • Is It Really Better?
Is this necessary? I dunno, but my engineering sense thought so. I got it for a Dell 7060 small form factor PC. It had a spot for a fan built into the frame, so I wondered. Beside the power supply fan, the only fan was interfaced with the CPU on a thermostat. The fan doesn't come on unless the CPU gets too warm. So, here's the thing. I added an M.2 NVMe drive to the system, and, like CPUs, they don't like excessive heat. Can the CPU be running cold to keep the fan off while the NVMe drive overheats? Well, what the heck. The $25 I spent on a fan, power splitter, and NVMe heat sink was a little steep in my (nearly-)independently wealthy lifestyle, but it seemed appropriate to keep my electrons adequately cooled. The result is that the Samsung Magician reported NVMe temperatures far below redline even while copying a half-gigglebyte of backup files from my old USB 0.1 hard drive all day. So, maybe the fan was overkill, and once again, I'm intent on spending my money on wine, women, and song but it seems I can't help squandering the rest. You know, I'd really like to ask the fan's designers how they managed to make something that moves so fast without a lot of racket. Hopefully, there will be very many years of peace and quiet before it abruptly starts to voice its disaffection for the video card or DVD reader, keeping the smoke strictly enclosed. (Like many devices, smoke retention is essential for proper operation. If you let the smoke out, it no longer works so good.) ... show more
