  • Well Worth The Price Very Happy
Used this fan to replace my failing fan on my Hyper 212 Evo, and it is working awesome. The Hyper 212 Evo is a awesome heat sink for the cost but I have had bad luck with the Cool Master fan and replacement fans for this heat sink. After installing the Noctua NF-F12 fan to my Hyper 212 Evo my temps are 31*C at idle and 50*C at full load. This fan cost a little more than a normal fan because it is an industrial fan but well worth the price. For noise the Noctua NF-F12 is very quiet. When pc is on or at full load all I hear is the fan of the power supply of pc. I will be purchasing more in the future. ... show more

  • So Quiet, You'll Wonder If They're Even On
Fans aren't usually the superstars of a computer, but let me tell you---these fans will surprise and delight. I've bought six of these so far, and I'll probably buy more when I build my next computer. These suckers are insanely quiet. I still don't get the poop brown motif, but hey, you probably won't see them anyways. I bought these for my Corsair radiator, to replace the stock fans it came with, and to add two additional fans for a push-pull configuration. They're outstanding, and make the Corsair fans sound like a leaf blower. Seriously, Corsair, what is your deal? Love your radiators, but guys, I've replaced your fans on two of my systems. Unacceptable. In any case (ha, case... case fans? No? Ok) these fans will blow you away (ok, you've got to give me that one). Don't hesitate, just buy. Oh, and make sure these are the ones you want---these are static pressure fans. If you want airflow fans, be sure you get those instead. Not the same thing. ... show more

  • Noctua industrial is best fan ever!
Absolutely love these fans! Un boxing experience is wonderful every time. This fan Is a bit loud, even w/ the speed reducer... Fyi Noctua should consider using this and the Grey color scheme on all their products. I just can't have that fleshy tanm color in my pimped out rig.

  • Great performing fan!
PROS: I can get fantastic performance when having my mobo dial the RPMs to around 1600-1700 RPMs. PWM is nice so you can really control the fan speed or apply a fan curve of some sort. Definitely got better performance from this fan running at 1500-1600 RPMs than I did with the original NF-F12. CONS: The drawback here is noise. Granted, it's a lot quieter than other fans that have a 2000 RPM max. But it's still pretty loud. Also, aside from a nice box and a little more pleasing color scheme, there are NO additional accessories that come with the fan at all (excluding the screws). The package did not come with LNA connectors, no fan splitters, nothing that comes with the standard NF-F12. The fan starts to sound audibly loud at around 1700 RPMs. At full speed (12V), this fan is LOUD. For this amount of money, you would think some additional accessories would come with the fan. Conclusion: I bought this one fan to replace the stock fan that came with my 980Ti Hybrid Watercooler. It's a very strong fan (static pressure is very good). But for the price, you would think Noctua would add the same accessories that came with original NF-F12 which is only about $3 cheaper. The higher RPM max as well as different color scheme shouldn't be enough to justify taking away accessories that came with every other fan in Noctua's lineup. Also, when you think of 'Noctua', you immediately think "performance and quietness". This is an 'industrial' fan and 'quiet' is not this fan's strength. If the additional 500 RPMs is that important to you, then by all means, get this version of the NF-F12. But if you're not cooling a server or would rather have a quieter fan without too much of a performance hit, you're better off with the original/standard NF-F12 (which DOES come with a nice array of accessories). ... show more
