I ordered these Jousen men’s chukka boots because I wanted dress boots or shoes to wear to work on rainy days. I wondered if they would be genuine leather at that price because so many items on Amazon say leather in the description but turn out to be “vegan leather” or “PU leather” (polyurethane). Chukka boots are ankle boots similar to Chelsea boots without the elastic side panels. These Chukka boots are genuine cowhide. Be aware not all the Jousen “leather” boots are genuine leather, but these are. The leather is very smooth and appears to be fairly good quality. They have a non-slip rubber sole, which is nice. They have a zipper on the inside and a buckle on the outside. I returned them because they were just a little too big for me (smallest size is 8 US and I wear 7.5) and also on an older guy like me I think they look a little like women’s boots. On someone younger they will look very stylish. Even though I returned them, I would still recommend them as they seem comfortable, well made, and look great. ... show more

Maltese thinking it would be easier to put out because they are zippers. Boy was I wrong! Nothing a shoehorn can’t fix. They are comfortable for the price.
