  • Quiet and reliable
This is a quite and reliable fan. I've had no issues from it so far.

  • Very well packaged, easy to install. Hardly any noise.
I bought this to replace the fans that originally came with my computer case, which were 6-7 years old. The fans were carefully packaged, each in its own box, with ample protection and wrapping. There were parts for a variety of different configurations, and using the instructions I had no trouble figuring out what I needed to do. The fans themselves seem very well made -- solid, with no dangling pieces. They snapped right into place with minimal use of tools. I've had the fans in place for several months now without any issues. ... show more

  • Whisper Quiet
My media / work room is far from silent. With my projector running, HEPA filters and computer server with 10 NAS drives always spinning, its an acquired environment to say the least. Not clanky loud, but one wouldn't want to meditate in here. Anyways a few days ago, the noise level that I became accustomed started creeping into my conscious mind. The level went up, something changed. Luckily it was just a 200mm Cooler Master fan that came with my EATX case. I dont know how long it was twitching out, but it had a new vibration that threw off the balance of the case and lifted the noise level to unacceptable levels. I immediately removed the fan and ordered another on amazon. Due to the higher price and good reviews I got this fan. It arrived 48 hours after I ordered it. 25 minutes after it arrived it was installed and I was tossing the extra pieces and box in the attic (yes, it was supposed to have extra pieces). The installation was simple and the attachment points are really quite ingenious. All my other fans do a hard attachment with screws. these hang by soft stretchy cones. All the right places are padded on the fan and on the attachment points. Its only been running 30 minutes now, however adding it to my server added 0 noise to my room compared to how its been running since I removed the old fan. I suppose maybe if the room was whisper quiet I might hear something, but its far below the ambient noise level of my media room. ... show more

  • WOW. What a great purchase.
I bought this unit to help cool my PC that I just built. I am running a Ryzen 7 3800XT that is air cooled with their NH-D15 cooler on an x570 ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero board. Under a full load, I run about 105-125 CPU temp. When I turn up the case fans, I can drop my temp 15-20 degrees. At idle, I run 86 degrees consistent. I am running an old school case of Cooler Master HAF X. I have this fan on the front for HDD/SSD cooling and the side case fan as well. These fans move some serious air and are whisper quiet. The warranty that comes with them is also impressive. You won't be disappointed with their products. ... show more

  • So quiet.
Replaced two Cougar 120mm fans with this single 200mm fan, and the computer is significantly quieter. The noise seems to be at a lower frequency as well which makes it more tolerable. I am running this at the low speed setting with the adapter cable which came with the fan. This fits in the front, but not the top of a CoolerMaster HAF 912, which is a real shame. Minimal surgery required if you want the faceplate of the case to not bulge out on the sides when everything is all buttoned up. I forgot to get a noise level reading in the room before I replaced the fans, but now it is between 38 and 39 dBA according to a little sound meter I bought here on amazon. • GREAT fan I love it however, do not DIY without knowing the materials
I needed a 200 mm fan for my phanteks case and found out it would not fit in without some trimming. Note to self frame is (I think) fiberglass reinforced plastic. My god, it worked but the itching in my hands for days. Never ever will I do that again.

  • Probably great for computers, but awesome for ventilating an under-bed area in a trailer!
Absolutely awesome fan, and super quiet. I bought this because I'm already a huge fan (haha) of Noctua's products, and I needed the trifecta of super-low power draw (0.08A DC), very quiet operation (18.1 dB(A)), and massive MTBF (150,000 hours) for a thermal destratification application in a 4-season fiberglass travel trailer setup. This fan is connected to a 12v AGM deep cycle battery (85Ah, which can run it for something like 3 weeks, 24/7, before needing a recharge) and draws air through the under-bed storage area that otherwise becomes a huge coldsink if left unventilated. The approximately 88 CFM (@800 RPM) rating means the air under the bed platform is fully exchanged a little quicker than once per minute, and results in the temperature staying within 2-3F that in the rest of the trailer. Previous to this solution, at sub-freezing outside temperatures, it got easily 15-20F colder under there than the temperature in the rest of the trailer. If you need a quiet, super-efficient, durable fan that can really move some air, this is the one to get. ... show more
