Description

1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The unforgettable memoir by the late Virginia Roberts Giuffre, the woman who dared to take on Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell “Make no mistake: this is a book about power, corruption, industrial- scale sex abuse and the way in which institutions sided with the perpetrator over his victims. . . . But it is also a book about how a young woman becomes a hero. . . . Important [and] courageous.” —The Guardian The world knows Virginia Roberts Giuffre as Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s most outspoken victim: the woman whose decision to speak out helped send both serial abusers to prison, whose photograph with Prince Andrew catalyzed his fall from grace. But her story has never been told in full, in her own words—until now. In April 2025, Giuffre took her own life. She left behind a memoir written in the years preceding her death and stated unequivocally that she wanted it published. Nobody’s Girl is the riveting and powerful story of an ordinary girl who would grow up to confront extraordinary adversity. Here, Giuffre offers an unsparing and definitive account of her time with Epstein and Maxwell, who trafficked her and others to numerous prominent men. She also details the molestation she suffered as a child, as well as her daring escape from Epstein and Maxwell’s grasp at nineteen. Giuffre remade her life from scratch and summoned the courage to not only hold her abusers to account but also advocate for other victims. The pages of Nobody’s Girl preserve her voice—and her legacy—forever. Nobody’s Girl is an astonishing affirmation of Giuffre’s unshakable will—first, to claw her way out of victimhood, and then to shine light on wrongdoing and fight for a safer, fairer world. Equal parts intimate and fierce, it is a remarkable narrative of fortitude in the face of depravity and despair. Read more

Oh, what a book. This is well written and yes it breaks my heart. She was just a kid. Excellent binding. The type is easy to read. Helps to get insight of how a person can sometimes find themselves in situations that are hard to get out of.

  • Nobody’s Girl: A MUST READ
Format: Hardcover
Nobody’s Girl is one of the most powerful and unsettling memoirs I’ve ever read. For anyone who truly wants to understand the truth behind Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s crimes, this book is where you should begin. Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s account is raw, courageous, and deeply moving. She shares her experiences of unimaginable abuse—first within her family, and later at the hands of Epstein, Maxwell, and the many powerful men they trafficked her to. Her vulnerability and honesty cut straight to the core, forcing readers to face the reality of the evil that exists among us. Over a span of three years, Giuffre endured horrors no one should ever experience, yet she rose above them to become the face of justice and change. Her strength and determination helped expose a web of power, corruption, and exploitation that reached into the highest levels of society. What struck me most was not just her resilience, but her unwavering commitment to truth. This memoir shines a light on how systems meant to protect the vulnerable too often shield the powerful instead. It left me questioning how such a failure of justice could persist—and hopeful that voices like Giuffre’s will continue to drive change. Nobody’s Girl is not an easy read, but it is an essential one. It’s a story of survival, courage, and truth-telling in the face of unimaginable darkness. I came away both haunted and inspired by Giuffre’s strength, and deeply grateful that she chose to share her story with the world. ... show more

  • Compelling and authentic
Format: Audiobook
I recently finished the audiobook. I felt deeply saddened and honored to hear her brave testament. I believe Virginia Roberts Giuffre would still be here if she had received the help and justice she desperately deserved years ago. I'm appalled by the shocking inaction of our government over the years. What does it say about this country when the wealthy and powerful can abuse vulnerable young girls and women for decades? Virginia's story was raw, fearless, and exposed her life with Epstein and Maxwell. I only wish she had lived to see all her abusers held accountable. ... show more

  • Sad story; must read
Format: Audiobook
This book is an important read for anyone who cares about basic human rights. Very sad that someone could be trafficked in plain sight and that no one did anything. My heart truly goes out to the author and other victims. The reason I removed a star is because I found the narration in the audio version to be irritating. The narrator has an overall overly cheerful lilt which doesn't jive well with the shocking and depressing subject matter. ... show more

  • The most important and compelling book I've read in a long time
Format: Hardcover
Everyone should read this book. I don't know where to start. I read this in one day. It is riveting and took me on an emotional ride. I cried, felt angry, sad, hopeful, and more. Ms. Giuffre writes eloquently about her horrific life story of suffering with the hope of making a difference for other women. It was especially disturbing to realize at the end that she took her own life after writing this and that she, once again, suffered (spousal) abuse at home. To have to tell her story of sexual abuse over and over again must have been torturous. She tells it gently and obviously is avoiding the worst sordid details but what we do learn is devastating. She was a brave soul and a good person. The book shows how sexual abuse at home by parents and their associates can have lifelong horrific consequences. With respect to the sick man, Epstein, the other perpetrators (his friends and clients who had sex with "his girls") who are many have yet to pay and we all should be outraged at this. This is not political with respect to political parties but it is indeed all about Power! For this reason alone, the full Epstein files, including tapes, must be released. Why have they not been? I beg you to ask your legislators this question. Powerful men who have sex with trafficked women should be revealed to us and face justice even if only in public opinion. For Virginia's sake, I sincerely hope that this book has an impact. Read it and recommend it to your friends. It's not easy reading emotionally but it's the most important book I have read in a long, long time. In Virginia's memory, we can continue to work for change. It starts with stopping the sexual abuse of children in their own homes and in the places that are supposed to be safe. ... show more
