Just want to share that I got this book after I signed up with another online MLO test prep Exam review subscription. I just don't want to depend on just one exam prep resource and wanted to make sure that I don't miss on anything that the Online test prep subscription. Received the Book on time . After glancing through the book i realized that it was a good decision on my part to go for this book. I see this book offers a very good explanation of the problem and answers .In my opinion the practice tests are designed to be Tough which is a good thing so it prepares you well for the actual Test. This book is a Great resource for information for the NMLS MLO . The only think I have to get more used to is to go back and forth for the explanation for the answers provided since it is a physical book and not a digital book. Overall an excellent Resource for the MLO Exam Prep and highly recommend this to exam takers as a wonderful resource. ... show more

    • PASSED THE NMLS TEST
So I had taken the NMLS test back in late December and failed with a 73%. I had done multiple compucram quizzes and tests. While the compucram tests did help me get my 73% it wasn't enough to push me over that 75% pass rate. I just took the exam today and I am proud to say I passed with an 86%. This book really did help me understand what each law covers. The practice tests were harder than the actual exam which really helped me because it focused on what I understood than what I just memorized. I definitely think there are a few errors within the book but definitely worth it if you're using multiple forms of study material. I highly recommend to focus less on taking exams and quizzes and focus more on understanding the outline. ... show more

    • Great resource, helped me pass on my first attempt.
I used this as one resource while studying for the National SAFE MLO test. I also used Compucram and found the two methods worked for me. I found it to be a helpful study guide and it contributed to my success passing the test on the first go with an 84. The information is based on the NMLS content outline and is organized accordingly. The practice exams were tough which I was grateful for. I would much rather over prepare than have a false sense of confidence going into the exam only to find the actual test to be much harder. Aside from a couple typos and the fact that some of the figures are not up to date, it was a great resource. ... show more

I just took my test for the first time today and passed with an 84%. I am surprised at how high this book is rated. I bought it for the practice tests and as I was reading through, I noticed a lot of errors. It was extremely outdated, and a lot of the mortgage terms were not correct. The authors seemed to have updated some areas with law updates but not in other areas, leaving inconsistent information. It is hard to trust a book that is littered with inaccuracies. With that said, I liked how the book was laid out and it was simple to read. I liked that there were not only practice questions, but also solutions to figure out the answers. I found that the test questions were significantly easier and more straight-forward than the ones in the book. ... show more

    • Missing text and no logical flow
I bought this as a supplement for an online SAFE course I was taking. This book doesn’t have any logical flow, the same topics are in multiple spots and there isn’t an easy way to find where that is, and there are paragraphs that…….just end and you can tell that they deleted something that shouldn’t have been deleted. Unimpressed with the editing of this book, especially for a 40 dollar price tag. ... show more

We all know that that the test is tough. So even though I took the classes and felt fairly confident, I still wanted something else to prepare for the exam. After doing some research, I found this book and I'm so glad I did. The two exams in here reflected what I saw on the actual test - so no major curve balls (at least in my experience). The explanation of each answer was personally very helpful (if I got something wrong, I knew why, and could correct in time for the test). The study guide breaking down each topic of the exam was useful too. Great reminders from what I may have missed or forgotten from class. Highly recommend. ... show more
