More than 10 years ago, my wife bought me a Nixon watch, which I absolutely loved. It took a beating before it finally stopped working a few years ago. So, when I decided I didn't want to tell time soly with my iPhone anymore, I looked really hard at the entire line of Nixons. I chose this model because of the large face, and my wife helped me choose the color. This is a very sturdy, fairly weighty watch, but never feels or looks oversized. It's simplistic design is clean, striking, and easy on the eyes. The only drawback I'd consider is worth mentioning, is that if you choose the black/black color scheme, it can be difficult to tell the time in certain types of lighting. my bf had been wanting the ss corporal for a while now but its 2 bills through Nixon. When i found it on amazon i immediately bought it. the watch itself came in perfect condition. the amazon packaging could have been better, it had wiggle room inside the box. still, nothing was broken. the face is hard to see at night and the arms need to be exposed to light in order to glow, normal day exposure wont light them up enough to see at night. its still a fantastic watch, i ordered him a large and he had 1 1/2 links removed. fits perfectly ... show more

This watch has a great feel and size to it and you can't beat it for the price. I already knew about being careful with the black scratching on the band or casing, so I'm careful with it and haven't had any scratches in it yet. The only thing that is a little annoying is that if you are in a dim lit room or area outside at night, it can be a little difficult to read the time since the numbers and hands are so dark, but the hands are glow in the dark if you let it set in the light long enough. Watch came well packaged and is authentic. Looks very stylish and fits my smaller than average wrist after removal of some links. The glass face of the watch comes with a clear film to protect the glass from scratches and smudges. The film itself is smudge-proof. I got this watch for my boyfriend who recently lost this same one before we met. The product arrived in an authentic package with tags! it is beautiful, not to heavy, but you can definitely feel that it has some weight behind it. I've always loved Nixon watches and while the face is a little smaller than I anticipated I cannot wait to give this to my better half for his birthday. I was looking for a big faced watch for quite a while, and the Corporal SS is the perfect fit for me. The band will need to be professionally resized unless you have the tools to remove the pins at home, but it is fairly cheap to have it resized.
