I wanted a very sharp pair of hair cutting scissors and that's what these are - Very sharp. As hair scissors I have no complaints. They do have a way to adjust how closely the blades press against each other so if they loosen up it can be adjusted, but there is no adjustment provided for the fact that when these arrived the blades cross past each other so that the sharp blades are on the outside of the tips rather than on the inside where the cutting edge is buffered by the body of the opposite blade. As you can see in the photo, if the handles are allowed to come together, the blades pass each other until the sharp edges become the outer edges of the point. In fact, the person who removed the soft sheath that came on the tip of these cut their finger drawing it off because they couldn't see that problem inside the tip protector. As I said, they are Sharp. We "fixed" the problem by padding the inside of the handle so the handles can't come all the way together (over padded because the padding compresses in use) and it's not bad, but of course we'd have preferred that the two parts be better aligned so that the cutting edges are sunk behind the body of the blade ends. As I said, the adjustment forces the blades together more closely together as they pass, but does not affect the distance they continue for, in that passing. ... show more
