Wanted something to place over my garage windows to block view into garage. This product had great reviews so I took a chance. No regrets, product provides ability to let sunlight in but not prying eyes. Was a very easy install, comes with easy to follow directions. Just a matter of cleaning the window, cutting to size, wetting window, pealing off clear backing, install on window, with provided tool remove all air bubbles (I started at the top), trim edges as needed. If you need for any reason it comes off easily to reposition (just add a little more water to window surface) Would Recommend.

I live in a town house community with very small and practically public rear patios. I have a lot of expensive equipment in the same room adjacent rear patio which meant I never opened the floor-to-ceiling blinds. I have since installed this window film and it has been great. I get a ton of light in that room with less concern that my home will be targeted for theft. I would recommend watching a ton of YouTube videos to understand what the install process will entail. It is a bit more involved that I anticipated but totally worth it. Some people still might opt to having a professional do it. I think most people will be able to install this film on their own, I would recommend buying a second sheet as a backup in case you have a learning mistake your first sheet. One thing you definitely need is professional spray bottle. I bought one at Home Depot years ago. It produces a lot of fine spray which you will need to install this window film. You add a water/dish soap mix into the sprayer and liberally apply to the window. For me, this window film did not have any adhesion aside from the water/soap mix. This mix works surprisingly well, it's been installed for a few weeks now and does not seem like it will be coming off until I peel it off when I move out. Optionally buying a hard and soft edged squeegee would help with the installation but I found carefully using an old debit card worked for me. Lastly clean glass is soooo important to the installation. Seriously can not stress this enough! Any specs of dirt will be very noticeable because air bubbles will form on-top of the dirt. I would recommend cleaning the window how you'd normally clean the window (Windex, what have you), then razor blade the entire window to take care of any paint spray from when the house was built (or just stubborn dirt), then clean again with Windex (or similar product) with a microfiber cloth. The edges will most likely bleed out dirt, especially toward the bottom. So flush as much fluid and then some more when cleaning the window before installation. Good luck, you can do it!!!

It really helped a lot so my dog wouldn't almost jump through the window to get the squirrels LOL Only thing I don't like to make sure to buy a bigger roll because it barely covered only 1 full window. turned out great, instructions were easy and easy to install does block out a bit of sun.

This frosted film is exactly what we wanted to provide privacy on our bathroom window yet still let light inside. We considered this vs the frosted glass spray which some people recommended over the film but decided to go with film which could be removed if it didn't work out instead of the permanent spray. So far, the film has stayed adhered to the glass without peeling. Application can be tricky. It takes patience and several retries may be needed. Follow the instructions, make sure to get all the air bubbles out, and cut the film exactly the size of the window pane so that every bit of edge is flat on the glass. Any lift will cause the spot to not adhere and will eventually peel further. I don't know how the thickness compares to other brands as I see some reviews complaining about the thinness. Maybe it could be thicker, but it's not saran wrap thin either. I'd say it's functionally the right thickness as it gets the job done.

This was very easy to fit and apply. It looks really nice and blocks the bright sunlight coming through. It helps keep my foyer much cooler. The only problem is that you can't see out the window and my family is annoyed by that. When I purchased this I thought it was transparent but its not. I was able to remove it very easily and im sure I can find use for it on a different window.
