No regrets, product provides ability to let sunlight in but not prying eyes. Was a very easy install, comes with easy to follow directions. Just a matter of cleaning the window, cutting to size, wetting window, pealing off clear backing, install on window, with provided tool remove all air bubbles (I started at the top), trim edges as needed. I really like this product because it has the adhesive backing. It covers very well in the bathroom window and is very clean looking without darkening the bathroom like a curtain would. You can NOT see through this but light does come through. I had a difficult time cutting it straight because it comes in a roll and kept wanting to roll up while cutting. I should have laid it flat for a day or so then cut and applied it to the window. Make sure the window is very clean and dry before you adhere to the window. I used Windex and cleaned it twice before the application. I did spray water in the window but I don’t think I really would have needed the entire window to be wet. I smoothed it out with my shopper saver card from the grocery store and it turned out wonderful without bubbles. It has been applied to the window for over month now and I haven’t had any issues. We have three teens that use this bathroom and there is plenty of showers taken and it’s still held up great!

I live in a town house community with very small and practically public rear patios. I have a lot of expensive equipment in the same room adjacent rear patio which meant I never opened the floor-to-ceiling blinds. I have since installed this window film and it has been great. I get a ton of light in that room with less concern that my home will be targeted for theft. I would recommend watching a ton of YouTube videos to understand what the install process will entail. It is a bit more involved that I anticipated but totally worth it. Some people still might opt to having a professional do it. I think most people will be able to install this film on their own, I would recommend buying a second sheet as a backup in case you have a learning mistake your first sheet. One thing you definitely need is professional spray bottle. I bought one at Home Depot years ago. It produces a lot of fine spray which you will need to install this window film. You add a water/dish soap mix into the sprayer and liberally apply to the window. For me, this window film did not have any adhesion aside from the water/soap mix. This mix works surprisingly well, it's been installed for a few weeks now and does not seem like it will be coming off until I peel it off when I move out. Optionally buying a hard and soft edged squeegee would help with the installation but I found carefully using an old debit card worked for me. Lastly clean glass is soooo important to the installation. Seriously can not stress this enough! Any specs of dirt will be very noticeable because air bubbles will form on-top of the dirt. I would recommend cleaning the window how you'd normally clean the window (Windex, what have you), then razor blade the entire window to take care of any paint spray from when the house was built (or just stubborn dirt), then clean again with Windex (or similar product) with a microfiber cloth. The edges will most likely bleed out dirt, especially toward the bottom. So flush as much fluid and then some more when cleaning the window before installation. Good luck, you can do it!!!

General: Girlfriend wanted something that added security (by preventing people from looking in) to her new garage door while allowing light to come in. I have black paper on my garage door and she didn't like it being dark inside. I told her about this kind of stuff (because I've used similar before on my 4x4 window in the master bathroom). This seemed like an economic option. Her garage door installer suggested spray paint (and I quickly talked her out of that later). PRO: Price. Of course, as "Murphy" would have it, I needed one more panel and therefore had to order two rolls but it was still economical. Easy. I measured each window pane and then cut the rectangles ahead of time. But I'm sure one could easily use an oversized piece and cut it off at the edges as needed by using a metal straight edge. Little or no curl. I was initially worried it might be difficult to handle because of curl but it was really nice to unroll it off the cardboard roll and cut. EVEN after peeling the backing off it, I was worried about curling but it just hung there nicely. Application easy. I sprayed each pane (after cleaning well) with ever-so-slightly-soapy water and placed the piece, centered it on the glass, and rubbed out the bubbles and flattened it. I had a tool I had used to apply vinyl to my Corvette--it was slightly thicker than a credit card and had felt on one end. I changed off between the two edges. If you had nothing, I imagine a credit card would do fine. I waited till it was about 80 degrees F outside before applying. CON: Backing. It is a slight test of patience starting the edge of a piece and separating the backing from the actual piece. Finally, I found that really bending the first eight of an inch of a corner allowed me to get the separation started. Conclusion: I highly recommend this product. My girlfriend REALLY likes it. She likes the look from inside AND outside her garage. If she ever changes her mid, it will be easier to remove than something sprayed on. I use Amazon reviews extensively to make decisions on my purchases. It follows that I should honestly review items that I have liked (or not liked) so as to benefit other Amazon customers (as I would have them do for me). LLBB

We got this to put on in our front bay window. Our dog was starting to freak out and bark and every single person walking down the street. We tried blinds but she would push them out of the way. This has helped immensely. It still lets in light but she can't see anyone outside. I put it so I can still see out the top of the window. I love the extra privacy too. This is really a two person operation. Clean the windows really well first. Get a spray bottle with just plain water and really spray a lot of water on the window. We peeled off the entire backer and then started at the top and worked our way down. We used this plastic paint roller thing we had from college print shop and it worked very well to roll out bubbles. They have been up for a few weeks now and no issues, no bubbles. I'm very pleased with this product! They do not solicit you for five star reviews either so you can trust these reviews. My dog, however, gives it 0 stars and wants to keep barking at everyone who walks down the street (don't worry, she has a back yard and back windows to watch the squirrels).
