Excellent product, works like a charm, and a great alternative to the original Leica charger. Recommend this charger at a fraction of the cost of the original. I wish they also made a replacement battery for Leica.

I bought this charger before a trip where I didn't want to bring the giant charger from Leica. This one is much more convenient to travel with, but has a few downsides. First, it charges pretty slowly. Not a big deal if you want to charge overnight, but it won't be of much use if you're in a rush to charge your battery. Second, the cable is super short. Like 3 inches max, which can be a bit of a pain depending on where the outlet is.

I use these chargers with all my cameras. Very handy. I like the digital readout where you can keep track of the state of charge as it is charging. Can be plugged into a 120V wall socket with an adapter, or plugged into your computer for charging. Lots of options. Small size good for keeping in your camera bag and especially nice for traveling.

SIX-MONTH UPDATE: Downgrading from 5* to 2* (and I'm being generous). The fact that it's not USB-C and that the cord is way too short are already annoying issues, but there is even worse: this charger doesn't work with the new LEICA BP-SCL6 battery for the Leica Q2 and Q3. Now it's fair to say that Nitecore doesn't pretend that it would work (it mentions only BP-SCL4) but still, it's a hard surprise to realize that this device doesn't charge the new battery AT ALL. Not even 1%. Nothing, as you might be able to see on the photo. The nice thing about the original LEICA charger is that it works with both the BP-SCL4 and the BP-SCL6. It's big, but it works. Which beats small and useless. My take: this Nitecore charger is obsolete. Stay away from it. Wait until they launch a USB-C version that works with both batteries. PREVIOUS REVIEW: It's a great charger: small and light. Definitely easier to carry than the original Leica charger which is such a monstrosity (although the European Leica charger has a significantly shorter cord than the US version, and for that reason is much easier to carry around. Assuming you're in Europe, obviously). Unfortunately the Nitecore USB cord is so short that it's quite inconvenient. And it's the old USB, not USB-C. They should make another one with just a USB-C input and follow the BYOC trend: "Bring your own cord!" because we already have many, many cords in our bags. I have been using the Nitecore for a month or two for my Leica Q2 and it works absolutely fine. But because so many customers have written here that their unit is not reliable, or that it won't charge a battery that has been fully depleted, I dare not travel with just the NItecore and feel that I have to bring the original Leica charger with me, just in case. So I may need to use it regularly for at least another six months to feel confident enough to leave the Leica charger at home. By then, hopefully Nitecore will have an updated version: reliable and with USB-C.

Good for travel. Nice size but slow trickle charging. Use if you have plenty of time to charge.

This charger is very small and portable - better than the Leica original - and includes a helpful battery meter. Also allows you to charge via a PC or wall charger, making it more versatile than the Leica original too. Now I only use this one - very glad I got it!
