Maybe able to reduce bacteria growth , I know UVC is better than UVA, but UVC can be more dangerous to humans as well. Pros: The lowest output level is good, which runs for weeks and less dangerous to human eyes. Cons: On the highest levels of its power is less than the claimed 3000mW, it runs about 24 hours under cold water with a 12Wh battery , meaning the input power is less than 500mW, the output thus is only around 150mW assuming it has 30% efficiency ... show more

I received this product unknowingly without Batteries, probably personal default because maybe I missed where it said batteries not included. I tried some vape batteries that are exactly what the specs says, but it's still not working. I ordered some more batteries based off of my products listing and will receive them in two days. This UV flashlight is the best one I've bought from Amazon. I've bought 3 or 4 and use them not only to identify flourescence in minerals but also to harden UV Epoxy. This UV Flashlight has a super feature of a dimmer making it very useful.

Built like a tank and should be with me for decades! Well made, strong and comes with a belt loop based carrier. This is a good product. I just wish it offered both long- and short-wave UV options. Then it would be perfect for gemologists!
