Better than I expected. They definitely exceeded my expectations right out of the package. They look like new. I love the neon yellow color. They look spectacular on my Nintendo Switch Oled. When connected, the console recognized them without problems. I have tested the buttons and they all work fine. Analog controls without problems and calibrated. I'm not a fan of the color yellow, but dang, this yellow really pops and in contrast with the black system, it looks awesome. It reminds me of a yellow/black dirt bike look or like bumblebee from transformers, if that makes sense. They are a lighter yellow than the n64 banana controller, possibly more green? I don't really notice a difference with button sensitivity as compared to my gray joycons but that is a blessing. There's nothing worse than playing 4 player and somebody has a slightly better controller than you. I'm set with 4 controllers now and 2 player ARMs so I am happy. Crossing fingers for a Super Smash Bros port. Highly recommend. Great, bright color. Fun to hand to people for 4 player Mario Kart. ... show more

Love the yellow! If you're into bright, fun neon colors, this is definitely the controller for you! Don't take my word for it - check out the pictures I posted. Looks and feels just like my neon red/blue controllers that came with the system. Honestly, no clue what the other reviewers are talking about with respect to shorter travel distance of the L/R buttons - I really don't see it, and I'm comparing directly against my neon red/blue controllers. I think maybe they've just broken in the red/blue controllers a bit more. I literally tried my red/blue and yellow side-by-side and they feel exactly the same for all the buttons with respect to travel distance, click-feel, etc. Also, the yellow color on the box really doesn't do the controllers justice. They're far more bright/neon than how they look on the box. ... show more

When I first hooked them up the joystick jumped around on the screen even though I wasn’t touching it. But after that they have worked perfectly, no drifting, responsive buttons, nice look. Last pair lasted me 300 hours of play before the joystick went.

I'm very relieved and satisfied with this product. After looking at all of the one star reviews, I felt discouraged for buying this. When it came - well, I tested it out like my default blue and red joy-cons. Despite the negative things people said, it worked flawlessy. It connected just like I thought it would, no connection range difference. I could now mix and match my joy-cons, and these worked no better than the ones I got with the console. I love love love love loooove this color. It's bold and punch-you-in-the-face-but-not-really, very stylish. But why 4 stars then? Well, it all began one quiet night, I was happily playing BOTW in handheld mode with this gorgeous set of joy-cons, when I noticed something: There was a subtle squeaking sound. I thought it was in-game because I was walking, maybe a SFX of the armor I was wearing? Then it stopped. I changed gear, unpaused the game, and there it was again, but it wasn't my armor this time, I was in the Sheikah suit (spoiler alert: it's stealthy)... Is it a Korok in the distance? Nope, no Koroks around. What could possibly be? I had my headphones plugged in, so I take them off in case it sounds again (I was home alone and kind weirded out at this point). Then it hits me. Could it possibly... No way... Is it... the joy-con? So I start moving the analog stick and there it was, every time I move it, it makes a metallic squeaking, creaky sound; it's subtle, but once you notice it, it won't get out of your head. And it's worse when using headphones because it gets louder since the sound gets conducted directly to your ears. God, I thought we were past this, Nintendo! Please have some quality checks. I will give five stars if they get this fixed, I'm contacting them soon to see if I can get a repair or an exchange. It's just the right D-pad and only in this set, I've got the original ones that have been put through worse strain (drops, being pressed in my stuffed school backpack without any hard case) and they haven't shown any sign of wear. The Switch built quality is sturdy, so I guess it's an isolated case, just be aware that it could happen to you too. ... show more

Joy cons are just awesome. The feel of the buttons is satisfying, the quality and constriction is really good. At first I was a little hesitant about the price, but after I took my old ones apart I realized how worth the money they are. Well engineered, and I was kind of impressed with the quality of the components used in the controllers. As for these specific controllers, at first I was a bit hesitant about the color but the neon yellow were the cheapest at the time so I went with it. Nice Nintendo switch controllers. My 6 year old son wanted to purchase another set of controllers so everyone could play Mariokart deluxe together. Well I have only used them once but he uses them very regularly(daily basis). They have a very bright color which brings out the switch even more. He doesn’t complain at all about the controllers so there isn’t anything bad to say. I believe they charge up and like the regular controllers. If asked if I would ever purchase them again the answer would be sure would! ... show more
