    • Amazing product but slightly confused
I’ve been using this controller for about 5 months now, and have been absolutely loving it for the most part. It fits well in my hands, the buttons are super responsive, and the joysticks are great for the most part. The only issue I have that I’ve had since I’ve received the product is that the left joystick will sometimes flick the opposite direction after letting go. This is somewhat frustrating especially when the dead zone cannot be changed in Smash Ultimate. It results in my redirecting my character’s orientation. The other issue that I’ve had with the product is my fault but is very strange how it happened. Admittedly I was frustrated after a loss in a game and ended up squeezing the controller somewhat hard. Not too hard in my opinion but since squeezing it, the button mapping for the Z trigger got flipped with the L and R triggers. I’m not sure how that could happen but at least I can change my button mapping in Smash Ultimate which is what I mostly play. Other than those issues it’s a great product and I’ve been happy with it since getting it. ... show more

bought this to replace my OG Gamecube controlled then one of the buttons went bad and this works perfectly and has a cable twice as long.

The controller is great to use especially competitive play but just know the joystick is fragile

Very high quality product, definitely authentic gamecube controller here. Excellent for smash bros, and I play competitively so I can vouch for it. I have ordered 4, and 3 of them have been EXCELLENT. The latest controller was weird though, had some dead zones, and drifting, and then the C stick would randomly just... get stuck. Same with the bumper buttons. Will get my 5th controller here soon to see if it's any better. ... show more

    • They don't make them like they used to
The face plate has a rough texture. I still have my old GameCube controller and even with all these years, the body is softer than this controller. Also, the Z button came with a bad spring, making it kinda difficult to press. But the cable is much longer now.

If you're buying this for gamecube then it's a perfect Replacement. Some of these replica controllers have real sensitive sticks. Not this one. Function wise and shell/buttons it's the same as it was 22 years ago. So much so you can stick this shell on a 20 year old controller. The Japanese version has no meaning either as consoles and games are region locked not controllers. Only thing Japanese is the writing on the box. Once again great Replacement. Way better than an old ebay controller. Get it while you still can if you're on the fence. ... show more
