After reviewing the relevant competitors in this price range I decided on the Ninja. The stacked blade design will completely decimate an entire blender's worth of solid ice without any liquid. This has allowed me to get more creative with mixed drinks. But perhaps the Ninja is too powerful, as it buckles and knocks itself over if not held down. Maybe there is a way to mount it? Audibly, it is just as loud as my previous cheapo blenders, look up the noise ratings if you're curious. Overall, I might choose a Hamilton if the Ninja kicks the bucket at any point. Having a hood to reduce the noise is something I would have appreciated - or at least to have had an option to install one with a manufacturer part. It is a great product and you will not be disappointed if you buy it. But if noise is at all a concern then keep researching. Although for the price an 1800w motor is a steal. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Works really well (I’ve only used its once), but it has a slight smell like the motor may be working too hard. I used all frozen fruits and the consistency of my smoothy came out perfect! Just like ice cream which is what I wanted for my smoothie bowl. Really hoping this one lasts a long time. ... show more

I'm not much on reviews but will tell you this thing is the cat's A$$!! I don't like spending money on things like this but will say if this breaks, I will buy another.
