I’m have tried a wrap choppers over last few years but this one is so far the best. It is great that it comes in 3 different sizes. The small one is perfect to make chutneys, pesto, chop nuts, the middle one to chop larger quantities of vegetable and the biggest one for smoothies. The blades are very sharp and chops great and very fine. I have recently ordered different brand chopper and it was 6 cups chopper but it had only one blade in it so it didn’t chop everything, just what was on the bottom. It was very frustrating. Very easy to use and powerful 450 motor. I purée cooked Turkey breast for my cat in the smallest container. It works amazing. Use long pulses for purées. Don’t run continuously for longer than 15 seconds but it’s not necessary. Pulsing works great. I tried crushing ice and it turned cubes into snow in seconds. The blades are like machetes. Be very careful cause I barely touched one and got cut. I think the double blade system does a better job than the single. The only complaint I have is that the chopper tops have a lot of nooks and crannies, making it hard to get all the food out. I use a small spatula. But they clean well under running water. I hand wash but they are dishwasher safe. Hopefully this machine will last for as long as I need it. If not, I’ll have to buy another one because I haven’t found anything else that works. I’ve had one of these sets since this style first came out years ago and am still using the same one. The only reason why we purchased another is because we melted/warped the main lid (don’t boil to sanitize). I now have 2 sets!!! (Minus a lid). I highly recommend these.     • Excellent blender at an excellent price.
The jar for our 5-speed KitchenAid blender broke and we consulted a "leading consumer magazine" to see what to purchase. We had always dreamed of a Vitamix and had expected to see that as the top rating, by far. To our surprise this device was as highly rated for about one seventh of the price. It was so inexpensive, in fact, that it was worth a try even though we really really really wanted a Vitamix. Coincidently the local Whole Foods was having a Vitamix special with product demos. In a nutshell, we are growing to love the Ninja. It took some getting used to since it is harder to add things while mixing and kind of funny to have the motor on the top. But it does the job very well. Our most serious test is to make smoothies, which are fruit, milk, ice, protein powder and a little vanilla. The old KitchenAid would always leave large chunks of ice, even on "liquefy". The Ninja takes care of the ice very well, leaving a nice smooth smoothy. It isn't Italian ice smooth, but the ices is uniformly like grains of sand. The fruit is integrated completely (the KitchenAid would sometimes have a hard time with peach skins or frozen fruit.) If anything, the smoothies might be too smooth, perhaps entrapping a bit too much air, but they are delicious. I am sure the Vitamix would be at least as good, but given the improvement from the KitchenAid, we certainly could not justify the price. So far we are big fans and, at the price, easily recommend this. The good: Blends everything very well, including ice Three mixing bowls and three blades of different sizes -- you don't have to clean the jar just to make another thing -- you can use the smaller jar for smaller batches The jar is a nice pitcher after blending (no blade or heavy bottom unit) Dishwasher safe, so easy cleanup No leaks at the bottom or tightening/untightening the blades for cleaning Compact and easy to keep in a cabinet The bad: To add something while mixing, you have to take off the motor and the top The top gets messy while blending, so taking it off will leave a little mess on the counter If overfull, liquid can get above the lid and into where the motor attaches One speed Blades are sharp, so some care is needed You have to hold down the switch while blending ... show more

My last basic blender couldn't handle anything frozen. This blasts through ice and frozen fruit with ease. And it's much more quiet than I expected. I've mostly made baby food purees and smoothies with this and I'm very happy with the performance. I don't need/use a blender very often, so I really didn't want to invest too much. But this was an excellent price in my opinion, and it does everything I need. It is very easy to use and very easy to clean. I guess it's a little annoying to unplug and remove the motor every single time you want to check consistency or add something. But considering that this is around a third of the price of blenders with similar performance, I think that's reasonable. ... show more
