The cold storage dry box is SUCH a game changer. You definitely need to fill the top with ice and almost prep the cooler, but once it's cold it stays cold. Looks just as nice as a Yeti or other popular brand and holds up to the outdoors. The top latch is so easy to close and keeps things water tight. Updating review now to 5 stars. Used again this past weekend and 3 days later, it's still holding ice. Wondering if we got "wet ice" our first time around. The results this weekend were more along the lines of our expectations. We are happy with our purchase and highly recommended! Bought this cooler for my husband for Father's Day. Used it for the first time yesterday out on the boat. The good: the dry drawer is amazing and worked awesome! We were very impressed with how cold our sandwiches were with no ice! Love this feature. The bad: we loaded the cooler around 10 am and headed out on the boat, back home by 5:30 pm and 80% of the ice was melted. Lid was never open for long periods just in and out to grab drinks. Was hoping for longer keep of ice. For long weekend camping trips this would not be the best cooler. ... show more

Love the drawer! Can keep things cold and dry. It keeps ice in it for a while, but not days….at least not in the TX heat. It’s very heavy. Wish it had wheels as it’s super heavy when you add drinks and ice. It hold quite a bit and very durable. Just wish it was either lighter or had wheels. We use this cooler on our side-by-side, and it has held up great through rough, muddy rides. It’s very sturdy and durable, even when strapped underneath and exposed to dirt, rocks, and bouncing terrain. It keeps ice and drinks cold for long periods, even on all-day rides, which is exactly what we needed. The size is perfect for packing drinks and food without being too bulky, and the latches seal well. Why did I purchase this Ninja cooler? I was going on an eight day camping trip off grid and needed a good cooler. I'm an Rtic fan but their coolers have gotten so light I didn't want to spend the dough and discover it doesn't work as well as the first or second gen models. Would I recommend this cooler? YES! I even bought the smaller 30 qt one for weekends. Performance: This cooler was filled with small cube ice at 3 pm on a Thursday in 116 degree Arizona heat. It was heavy so I left it in my truck cab overnight. The next morning I drained the water, added my drinks and food to the main chamber and the dry drawer. I also added a gallon milk jug frozen solid with water (no place near me sells block ice anymore). The following Wednesday I added a small bag of ice and another small bag of ice to put in my cup. That's six days; daytime temps ranged from mid 80's to high 70's and night time temps got down as low 45 degrees but most nights were warm in the 60's. All of my food, water and soda were ice cold! The frozen ground turkey began to thaw on day 4 but was still frozen in the middle on day 6. Items is the dry drawer were very cold upon trip home on day 8 and the butter never even softened up! I love this cooler and I recommend it ... show more
