I love this blender! I received a vitamix blender as a gift years ago. I loved the features it offered; however, I couldn’t justify paying $500+ for a blender. Sadly, I hated it; smoothies had ice chunks, regardless of what setting I used or how many times I ran the cycle, sauces weren’t as silky smooth as they should have been, and I just never thought heating something in the plastic jar was a good idea as I was trying to eat clean and didn’t like the idea of heating plastic so chemicals could possibly leech into my food. That blender sits in my storage unit collecting dust. Recently I was staying with a friend and had the opportunity to use her Ninja blender (I am not sure which model, but it was the kind with about 10 blades spaced up the center blending bar); it was great! As soon as I got home I opened the Amazon app in search of that blender and I found this beauty. I love that it had a glass jar and that it offered the heat setting; the only thing I was worried about was that it had the traditional blender set-up with the few blades at the very bottom of the jar, was this really going to be able to get things smooth? But, at a quarter of the price of the vitamix and free returns, I decided to give it a go as I had nothing to lose. This is a substantial appliance. It’s very solidly built (and a little heavy), so I cleared a spot on my counter for it so I wouldn’t have to schlep it around the kitchen from the cupboard to the counter. Having it out has also encouraged me to make healthier choices and use it more. Everything I have made so far, from smoothies, to soups and sauces have turned out perfectly. I was a little hesitant to invest over $100 on another blender, especially after the Vitamix experience, but after giving this a try, I have no regrets about my decision; it actually inspired me to order the ninja foodi air crisp pressure cooker, hopefully that will be as amazing as this blender. ... show more

Excellent product! I bought this a few years ago and it still works like day one. I’m impressed that even after a few years it still has enough power to chop whole cranberries into cranberry sauce in a matter of seconds.

Where has this been all my life? I THOUGHT I've had good blenders in the past : Cuisinart, Kitchenaid, Breville, Oster. NO MA'AM! This does everything you need and more. Incredibly powerful (blend milkshakes on low) and it COOKS!! WHO KNEW WE NEED THAT, BUT WE DO! Canned soup, never again. Alfredo sauce, ready & hot in less than 10 mins? Yes! Margaritaville? Fruit infused water (and vodka) no time to wait at all. LOVE that it has minimal parts to clean, as it's basically one piece ( dont put in dishwasher tho) instead of 3 parts to carafe like most blenders. Comes with great cookbook too. If You're a person who eats or drinks just BUY IT! No regrets. ... show more

Used for first time today, made the cauliflower soup from the booklet you get with machine, just left the curry bits out!! The soup turned out “soupa” creamy, something I’ve never had before even with my immersion blender or regular blender. I’ll be making a LOT of soup both creamy and hearty. Love that the recipe booklet has hints on making your own recipes work with this fabulous blender!! I’m hooked!! Yes it’s heavy, it’s noisy right at the end of the ‘smooth soup’ cycle, size is ok, no leakage on this 1st run. 👍👍 ... show more

    • Piece of junk – failed after light use, zero support
I’m extremely disappointed with the Ninja HB150C. This thing broke after very light use — about once per week — which is ridiculous for a supposedly “premium” kitchen appliance. It mainly sat in my cabinet and wasn’t abused or overloaded. Despite this, it failed early and is now completely unsafe and unusable. The unit vibrates and is very noisy and a black lubricant is leaking out of the pitcher - possibly into my smoothie!! What makes it worse is there are no replacement parts available, and customer support was basically useless. If a part fails, you’re forced to throw the whole machine in the trash. I have seen other reviewers post similar reviews. This feels like a disposable product dressed up as a quality appliance. For the price, that’s unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and buy something else. I would not recommend this to anyone. ... show more

We use it to make hot sauces and it’s great. Can load all the ingredients and cook, blend, and pour into bottles all in one step. Controls are a little counter intuitive but functions great.

    • Best blender ever but hit with the E01 error after 5 years
I ordered this 11/2020. I absolutely loved this blender. Just last week I got the E01 error. I am so sad. I made homemade enchilada salsa using the cook features along with other types of salsa. This was a powerful blender. We made smoothis as well and natural juices such as raw carrot juice and I would just use a nut bag to strain. Yes this was a heavy blender but it was very durable. The glass jar was perfect. The cleaning feature was great. I found that if you clean it right away there was no issue. So about 3.5 years in, the jar started leaking at the bottom. Not a big leak but some wetness was left behind. I think the liquid just finally made its way inside the blender and that is what caused the Eo1 error. Its going to be really hard to find a blender as good as this one was. The cook feature was the best. This blender has doubled in price since I purchased it in 2020 so I think I will have to settle for whatever else is out there. ... show more
