Updating review now to 5 stars. Used again this past weekend and 3 days later, it's still holding ice. Wondering if we got "wet ice" our first time around. The results this weekend were more along the lines of our expectations. We are happy with our purchase and highly recommended! Bought this cooler for my husband for Father's Day. Used it for the first time yesterday out on the boat. The good: the dry drawer is amazing and worked awesome! We were very impressed with how cold our sandwiches were with no ice! Love this feature. The bad: we loaded the cooler around 10 am and headed out on the boat, back home by 5:30 pm and 80% of the ice was melted. Lid was never open for long periods just in and out to grab drinks. Was hoping for longer keep of ice. For long weekend camping trips this would not be the best cooler. ... show more

This cooler is perfect. I bought it to take on a fishing boat. It fits more than you would think and the dry drawer underneath fits WAY more than you would think. It’s really sturdy and it kept the ice from melting all 4th of July weekend even though it was in full sun for two days.

Absolutely best cooler I’ve bought yet. I bought it to use on our hunting trips and it holds so much more than any other cooler I’ve tried. I love the department underneath because it really does keep the food dry, cold, and fresh. I added a bag of ice with a ton of drinks and it was exposed to sunlight 90% of the time in 80-90° weather and our drinks were still cold and enjoyable. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a reliable cooler! ... show more

Love the drawer! Can keep things cold and dry. It keeps ice in it for a while, but not days….at least not in the TX heat. It’s very heavy. Wish it had wheels as it’s super heavy when you add drinks and ice. It hold quite a bit and very durable. Just wish it was either lighter or had wheels. I used this cooler a few times and it seemed like it was keeping the food cold in the drawer. I froze water in two 1-gallon jugs and filled a 2-gallon bag with ice. After 4 days the ice was still somewhat in tact and the jugs still had about half the ice in them. I decided to do a test to check just how cold it really kept the food. I put the same amount of ice in the top and put two thermometers, one in each side of the drawer, to test it. I kept the cooler outside mostly in the shade but let the sun hit it for a time like at the campground. After 3 days the temp is still at 36 degrees. I opened the drawer several times during the day to duplicate how it would be used on a camping trip. I wasn’t sure about the cooler at first but it definitely is worth the money. If you use it for just drinks it would be great but the fact that it keeps the food cool and dry it is very impressive. I’m very happy with this cooler and would recommend it to anyone. ... show more

Loves the fact that the items in the drawer stay nice and dry but cold. Cooler is larger enough for a long weekend and keeps the ice throughout the weekend. Keep in mind to pre cool the cooler before using it as it will stay cooler and ice will stay longer.

Comparing two coolers, 20lbs of ice added 3 days prior and nothing else. Opened once a day. Kept inside a garage and out of the sun with temps varying from 80-60 degrees: I have a considerably cheaper old $25 Coleman, which was manufactured in the United States. It has an interior space of 21x12x11, and exterior space of 27x13.5x16.5, with wheels and a handle. It is light and easy to maneuver. No ice after 3 days, and an interior temp of 53-57 degrees. The Ninja, which is manufactured in China, is $200. It has a considerably smaller interior space of 13.5x11.5x9.5, not including the bottom drawer, and an exterior space of 24x17x19. To put this in perspective, a gallon of milk is approximately 6x6x9. No wheels, only side handles, heavy and hard to maneuver especially with ice in it. There is some ice after 3 days, with the majority being water. Inside cooler wall is 47 degrees, and the water/ice temp is 34 degrees. The drawer temp varies between 46 and 49 degrees. The two coolers in my comparison have a price difference of a whopping $175.00. The Ninja's usable space is small. It's cumbersome, the drawer temp is iffy, and while the interior temp is cold, the majority of ice is melted after 3 days. I only opened them once a day to inspect them. So I can imagine opening and closing the drawer alone would considerably affect the temperature. Overall I find this cooler disappointing, and a little too expensive for what it is. ... show more
