Not good for a boat. My boat weighs about 1250 including motor and it powers out half way. It was rated for boat but clearly doesn’t do its job.

Works well but not as strong as advertised. I have a 800lb boat and it does it ok but would have trouble if it was too much heavier. On the plus...I love that it has a wireless remote. I can put my boat near the winch, hook the cable on using a pole and then winch it on by myself without needing to go in the water.

I used to be able to crank the boat on; but I’m older now (79) and I really like having a Winch to do the job for me. Most cars probably won’t be able to provide enough power for the winch through the plug connector. I installed a small 12 Volt lithium battery on the tongue of the trailer to power the winch. The car charges it via the 7 pin round trailer light connector. Works great; worth every penny to me.

This is mounted to a flat bed trailer we use at work for picking up riding mowers and zero turns that don't run. It handles the load very well. Several excellent features including remote control. Seems to be a quality product.
