Description

The Nikon ZR 6K Cinema Camera blends RED’s renowned color science with Nikon’s engineering to deliver a compact, high-performance tool for filmmakers seeking cinematic results in a small body. Offering 6K60, 4K120, and 1080p240 recording, the ZR supports REDCODE RAW (R3D NE), N-RAW, and ProRes RAW, giving creators maximum flexibility in post-production. Its wide, shallow Z-mount enables the use of NIKKOR Z lenses and countless adapted lenses, while built- in 7.5-stop image stabilization ensures smooth footage with any optic. Powered by deep-learning AF, the camera tracks people, animals, and vehicles with precision. Audio excels with 32-bit float recording, five selectable mic pickup patterns, external mic support, and a headphone jack. A bright 4" variable-angle touchscreen offers 1000 cd/m² brightness and auto-flips for vertical shooting. Custom LUT support enables accurate on-set monitoring, and dual-base ISO (800/6400) preserves dynamic range in varied lighting. The UI prioritizes speed with dedicated stills/video switching, customizable Fn buttons, and quick access to waveform, zebras, peaking, and more. Recording to CFexpress Type B plus microSD proxy keeps the form factor minimal, and USB-C power enables long runtimes. Compact yet incredibly capable, the ZR suits gimbal work, vehicle rigs, handheld shooting, and any production requiring cinematic quality in a lightweight setup.
