Description

The black Nikon D5300 DSLR Camera features a DX-format 24.2 megapixel sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor to produce high-resolution still imagery and full HD video with notable low-light sensitivity to ISO 12800 and a fast continuous shooting rate of 5 fps. The sensor design omits the traditional optical low- pass filter in order to gain the utmost sharpness and resolution from both photos and videos. Complementing the imaging assets are both a versatile 39-point autofocus system, with nine cross-type sensors, and a 2,016-pixel RGB sensor for precise exposure metering in a wide variety of lighting conditions. Additionally, 1920 x 1080p movie recording is supported, in multiple frame rates up to 60 fps, with full-time continuous auto focusing capabilities. The compact, yet durably designed, camera body incorporates both an optical pentamirror optical viewfinder along with a large 3.2" 1,037k-dot vari-angle LCD monitor, which features a 180 swivel design to better support working from high and low angles. Also integrated into the D5300 are both Wi-Fi and GPS modules, which enable advanced image sharing capabilities as well as location-based image tagging. When paired with an Android or iOS mobile device, remote viewing and control over the shutter release is possible from a distance and a vast network of pre-populated Points of Interest adds to the overall geotagging functionality. For creatively enhancing the look and feel of imagery in-camera, a wide range of Picture Control modes, Scene Modes, and Special Effects modes are available as well as a host of in-camera image editing capabilities for adjusting settings prior to sharing. Built-in HDR and Active D-Lighting modes can also be used to optimize exposure results by preserving highlight and shadow details for an extended range of apparent tones. Included with the

  • Better than I expected!!!
Color: Black Style: w/ 18-55mm + 55-300mm Set: Base
Just received this yesterday and started shooting today. My first Camera other than an iPhone so I am a 100% novice, but wanted something I could grow with. Amazing photo quality! I will post the first day photos I captured today, all on automatic setting. I did not change any settings and I must say I am amazed at how well this camera adjusts for shutter speeds and aperture size. The auto focus on both works amazingly well and I don't see the need for any other lens JUST yet. This bundle came with a software CD called viewNX2 and I'm not sure what it does other than shading and cropping...haven't really spent time on it yet, but I do like the fact that it shows every spec/dynamic of each photo that you take...ie...shutter speed / aperture / focus setting / ISO / where the focus points were! The Bag is well made with a handful of different size Velcro pieces to allow the user to compartmentalize the space how they see fit. The bird photo was at 300mm. And the picture of my girls was about 230 mm. The holly tree branch was at 55mm on the 18-55. Again I don't know enough about photography yet to go manual, so these were all point and shoot. ... show more

  • Great camera kit
Color: Black Style: w/ 18-55mm + 55-300mm Set: Base
Great camera kit. This is a wonderful starter to mid range DSLR camera. Nikon makes quality products and has good customer service and a good reputation. My mothers Nikkor and Nikon lens from the 1980s fit this camera. I use it mainly for shooting my kids sports events: baseball and tennis. I am able to take great action shots from the stands. Very glad I purchased it and would buy again. ... show more

  • Wish camera' were covered by the lemon law
Color: Black Style: w/ 18-55mm + 55-300mm Set: Base
Stay away from this camera and Nikon because they do not honor their warranty. Purchased this camera September 2016 for our European vacation. Took very nice pictures but experience problems very shortly afterwards. Did not use the camera again until Christmas 2016 and got message "van not read media card" I tried a different media card and got the same message. Return it to Nikon and they repaired it under warranty. Went to use the camera again in May ( this is how seldom I use it ) and got the same message. Return it for repair and this time they told me it wasn't covered under warranty the media card reader being bent. This is the exact same problem that they repaired the first time under warranty. This is not what I expected when buying a Nikon, thought they were better than this. Should have researched this camera better before purchasing, checout this camera on line, problems reported all over the Internet . Only used it 3 times now they want $175 to repair it again after spending almost $1,000 on their camera package when I purchased it. If you are thinking of buying this camera DON 'T. ... show more
