I think this camera is awesome, and this is a great starter pack. I have never owned a camera before, and I really wanted something that could take high quality photos without breaking the bank. I am very happy with the quality of photos this camera takes. The attached photos were taken the day after my camera arrived in the mail, using the 70-300mm lens. At first I didn't think I would need the 70-300mm lens, but I'm super glad that I purchased the bundle that came with both lenses. The 70-300mm lens is super helpful for shooting nature, where you can never really get that close. I have been blown away by the quality of the photos. The quality is so high that you can crop the photos afterward and the image is still perfectly clear. I'm really excited to continue experimenting with the camera, and so far I've had a blast. If you're looking for a camera that is reasonably priced and capable of taking high quality photos, I really think this is perfect. And the bundle with the 70-300mm lens is totally worth it. This Camera is great for beginners, as well as experienced. I also have the Nikon D60, which I love, but wanted a lighter weight camera, but it had to also be a Nikon, this camera fits the bill. I love all the accessories that came with the camera. The camera was delivered last night, and today I took a few pictures. I have been dreaming of having my own DSLR for years now, and haven't been able to purchase one until now. I have been using my mom's hand-me-down Canon EOS Rebel for years, and it's old enough that cameras weren't digital at the time it was bought. Well, that was until the battery terminal decided a few years ago that it wanted to corrode and render itself useless. So I was finally able to take the plunge and order my very own DSLR, and I could not be more happy with this bundle. Everything came perfectly and neatly packaged, nothing was missing, nothing was damaged. Everything was perfectly pristine and beautiful. While I am SO far from being a professional, behind the camera is my happy place and I'm so glad that I now have something that will get me farther than any cell phone could have. I have fiddled around with it since I received it last week, but I haven't had a chance to really get into anything worth posting or sharing. But even so, this has far exceeded my expectations even with just the silly little practice photos of my dog and some candles. The only downside to this purchase is that my son karate chopped a cup of water right across the living room onto my Macbook, which, much like the Canon is now completely useless. I was looking forward to using the photo editing bundle that came with the camera, but now I have to invest in a new laptop, much like I did the camera. ... show more

    • Beware of Corel!!
The camera is great! Nice and easy to use. Very happy. BUT!!! And a big but to me! Corel! Corel gives you such a hard time to download what you have paid for. Can't understand them and finally after two weeks, I stopped trying. Buy without the Corell and you have a GREAT PRODUCT!!

Amazing camera. I was not prepared for the level of knowledge this thing requires, I have only ever used my phone camera. I know I'm not using it to it's full potential. But the picture quality is amazing and it was a great buy considering all the goodies that came with it.

This being my second Nikon DSLR I was sure I would like the camera when I ordered it. It was better than expected. The bundle was made up of items that are useful and not just filler to make the deal look better. Still leaning some of the new things that the camera will do. Both lens are Nikon lens and work great. Nice slave flash, vivatar filters and the ones that you use the most.
