These are comfortable and soft. The fabric on the outside is still smooth (no pilling) after at least 2 washes in warm water. I hang to dry, then toss in the dryer before they are completely dry just to save on electricity costs. Material is thick/classic sweats without being stiff. The size is true and I didn't notice any shrinkage after the 1st wash. I have an athletic build and am a 5'4", 120 pound female. I bought a size Small and they are great - not tight anywhere and not too loose. I got these to wear on cool weather walks and quick errands, but they are so comfortable that I'll wear them at home as extra toasty pajama pants. The ankle banding is not too snug, they fit comfortably over thick wool socks. Front pockets are big enough for hands and phone. Back pocket is big enough for a phone, but I can't quite snap the pocket with my phone inside. However, the back pocket is definitely large enough for a wallet to be secured inside and snapped. I would purchase again. I'd love these in more of a women's fit, but these work well. Color was also true.
