Description

The Extreme Max Boat Lift Step-Over provides a convenient step between your boat and dock, making loading and unloading both safer and easier. The step- over mounts to the lift cradle frame of your boat lift with U-bolts, allowing the platform to be set at whichever height best fits your needs. The top of the step-over platform features a grippy, no-slip surface for sure footing each and every time you board. Note: The step-over is not compatible with boat lifts containing a fixed horizontal bar on the dock-side of the outer lift frame as that bar would hinder the movement of the lift cradle when the step- over is attached. Be sure that proper clearance can be achieved before installing.

Easy installation. Works great, and makes getting in and out of the boat MUCH safer. Solid construction, and good quality materials. Attaches to the cradle of the boat lift, so it goes up and down with the boat. Used on a Newman’s lift with no problems. Great value for the money!!!

    • Almost worth the money.
This is a fairly well made step that suited my needs. It was slightly bent when I received it but not bad enough that it was worth the aggravation of returning it. I’ve purchased products from this manufacturer before and have had similar results.

    • Great upgrade, makes boat access so much easier.
I wish I had done this upgrade years ago!!!!! No more brave/bold big step/jump from the boat to dock and no more need to grab something to pull up when boarding. It is SO much better with this simple step. Note that you may need to position it away from cross-bracing/diagonal braces on hoist so it does slightly limit placement. Only negative is the 350 pound weight limit. I wouldn't want anyone that heavy using it when mounted more than roughly half way up the posts. It may be just fine, trust the engineering I guess. It would be simple enough to add some cross-braces with aluminum bar stock or even stainless hardware store brackets. Deducted one star because the aluminum plates used for mounting are a bit thin and can be easily deformed if you over-tighten the nuts and there is no torque specification for tightening. ... show more

We needed a modification in order for the step to work with a Shorestation lift with dock-side fixed horizontal bar. Normally, installation of this step is on the same horizontal bar as the lift base, so the step moves up and down with the lift/boat. With Shorestations with a fixed horizontal upper bar on dockside, there isn't enough room for the step to move with the lift, and the U-bolts aren't long enough to brace on the fixed bar. Unable to find a U-bolt that would fit both the needed 6" length and 2" width dimension, we purchased 6 inch L stainless steel hex bolts and 2 new backer plates to secure the step on the dockside horizontal fixed bar. It does NOT move with the slip so it's not in the way and provides a stable and needed bridge over the gap between boat/lift and dock. If I ever find a U-bolt in correct size, I'll replace as this would be the best option. ... show more

works well, just remember that the boat lift isn't that steady so you will think the step is moving. It is not at least on my shoremaster. It makes entering the boat much easier

The product itself is excellent. Unfortunately, the mounting components provided did not fit my setup, and the manufacturer informed me that additional mounting plates were not available. As a result, I had to pay a local machine shop to fabricate two duplicate plates—an unnecessary inconvenience for an otherwise great product. ... show more

Needed better access to get on the boat while on the lift. Be mindful of the location you install this so when the lift goes down it is not hitting parts of the stationary lift frame. It supports my 230 pounds easily, and provides a good step to get up in the boat.
